DONE 7/28!! My Life on the DVC Blacklist - an August '09 Pre-Trip.

Recent events appear to indicate that I have, in fact, been BLACKLISTED by DVC!!!




Several days ago, I began having problems logging in to the DVC member website.

Simply put, it wouldn’t let me in.

Since then, I’ve tried multiple times a day, clearing cookies, requesting password and username confirmations, all to no avail.

No member site for V.



So I called DVC this morning, explained the problem and pointed out that all of this began after I entered a WDW sweepstakes form the Disney Family site, where it asked for a new username. The lovely lady at the other end of the line pulled up my account headache: ) and walked me through re-registering in the system…


Nope.

Rejected!


I posted a thread on the DVC boards about this, and it seems quite a few others have had a similar problem. But their issues appear to have been fixed by a call to DVC Member Services.

Think it’s more than coincidence that I’ve recently been heard contemplating a change in resort and am now locked out of DVC?!

Oh gosh--I hope it gets fixed. In the meantime, I think I am going to get blacklisted too. But I have to say MS has been wonderful with me. Let's hope it continues!

If it makes you feel any better, I have the SAME drama with the DVC website and I RARELY change ressies!!

The funny thing is, I've never had a problem with the member site before and always wondered about the umpteen threads referring to member site problems.

Yeah, well ... I SOOOO saw this coming.

For those unfamiliar with the DVC member site, you should know that you can do just about NOTHING on the site. You can request a reservation, but you cannot make a reservation. Nor can you change a reservation. So I'm guessing they saw no harm in letting me have access again. The real test will be if I'm able to CALL member services in the future!


FYI, I was alerted of my regained access by one "Buffy", via email.





I do believe DVC has begun using assumed names to deal with me now.

OMG V this is too funny, I now we joke about this but what if this really were the case A board with "blacklisted" members like in the supermarkets how every register has a list of names of people to NEVER take a check from
Im SURE my name is up there on some big old board of "crazy" members

We bought DVC last Sept., did a 50 pt add on the day we got home and then bought at Bay Lake.
We have been to disney world......once! lol
We have, however booked and cancelled 3 DVC trips and made changes to those trips about 6 times, ultimately cancelling them all, thank you very much US army!
We are sure the cms cringe when we call as we are also using developer points, which make it that much harder for them as those are done with written notes on the computer, poor things!
We are determined to make our may trip, when my son in lw will meet us from Iraq on his R&R. He has never been there.

Just read through and I may be added to THE LIST.

I actually called member services from WDW last week to "modify" my September reservation. I logged onto DVC.com to verify the change today and noticed they overcharged me points for last week's stay

I think they have a Focker bias. Just sayin'

I have to laugh with you... I'd been to WDW a gazillion times, but had never, ever stepped foot on SSR property before buying into it!

We are determined to make our may trip, when my son in lw will meet us from Iraq on his R&R. He has never been there.
