I have never done the Safari, but we love Playhouse Disney. Will you see Donald and Crew somewhere else? Does your son like Little Einsteins and Jo Jo Circus? If your answers are yes, then I would go with Playhouse.

I think the Safari sounds fun and we plan on trying that on our next visit.

We did lunch at Hollywood and Vine in November, it was great. The character interaction was good. The kids got to dance with the characters, not just parade around twirling napkins. Even my then 23 month old DS who was painfully shy came out of his shell a bit and danced with Goliath.

I haven't been to the H and V meal, but we were at Donald's last month. The food was really good. There was a great combination of standard breakfast food with some interesing African foods available as well. We liked the food even better than Boma. The characters spent a fair amount of time at each table and had a fun little parade with the kids.

Where is this character meal?

It's at Hollywood and Vine at Disney Hollywood Studios. My boys really enjoyed this lunch--lots of character time and singing and dancing. Food was just okay. Next trip we are trying Donald's.

I voted for Tusker House... The food selection is much larger and better... We like the characters better and the interaction...We also liked the atmposphere more....

Both places are loud which we really don't care for....

Tables are very close together at Tusker and more spread out at H&V... That goes in Playhouses favor....

But overall, Tusker gives you a better breakfast and better characters :goodvibes

We did not have a good experience with Donald's breakfast. The characters were rushed through at the end. However I will mention that this was at the old location not the new Tusker House spot. We are giving it another try on our next trip, but I have low expectations. My boys (ages 5 & 2) have always enjoyed the Playhouse Disney breakfast. It is a little chaotic though!

Well, the characters are different for each, so I would go with the one that has characters that your DS would like.

Thanks for all the info. We already have Cape May and Crystal Palace for this trip, among others. We're leaning towards the Donald meal in AK as the new addition, but DW may want to pt for another sleep in/ pool & seas sprite morning instead. I can't complain about that either. If we're at WDW , I'm happy!
