Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

Bryan, that's to nominations for you, good enouth for me. I offered the job to Arnold, but he was busy being Governor of Calif.

See AmyBeth's Hubby Scott and he can put you on the list of people who can do the spread sheet.

The pay sucks but you will do good.

Visiting Panda:hippie:

Two?? What 2? I only saw 1! What? Huh? What happened? :lmao: Ok! I had to play a little bit but that's just me. I will do my best for this team as Captain, teammate and friend. I know I can not replace or fill Vic's shoes and I won't even try. Even if Vic has had to step down because of time restraints, he is still our Captain!!

Now, with all of that being said, I would be remissed if I didn't let my competitive side talk for just a minute. I know we can win this competition. Both of them. Not just the one against the other teams but also the one that is really important. The competition that we are having with ourselves. Some of us may be trying to loose a couple of pounds. We may be trying to push ourselves to another level of fitness. Or we might just be doing it because we actually think it is "fun"! Whatever it is, I want to help (if I can!). If anyone has kept a log of your training and just haven't been able to post it for whatever reason, as soon as I get the knowledge and ability to post the miles, I will add it in. I know we all miss one time or another. That's life. Just let me know if I can do anything to help.

And for another note, I am looking forward to meeting any and all that are going to Marathon Weekend. It will be sooo nice to be able to put faces with the names and friends that we have made. Oh wait! I need a Co-Captain. I have a couple of people in mind that I want to ask (really, all of you!) so 1) if you don't mind being Co-Captian, please send me a PM or let me know and 2) don't be surprised if you get a PM from me for when I ask.

Thanks everyone!!! Now, let's go out there and WIN!!!:cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:  :grouphug:

Bryan

Congratulations on your new job, Bryan. I was going to nominate you as well, but I see it is too late.

And hello Liz, long time no see here!

Team,

I am going to make another request. I am still looking for anyone to make any suggestions or recommendations for a potential new Captain (feel free to PM me on this if you would like) but I do have one other favor to ask. We have several team members that have not reported any mileage for several weeks. With us not having the reports in, we have lost our lead that we had. Jessica's Rabbits have passed us up by 300 miles. Now, I know that we have the miles and hours to take that lead back. We just need to post them. So if you haven't posted any time in a while and if you can, look at your records and help us get caught back up with our records.

Thanks TEAM!!! I do hope you are all having a great week!

Bryan

Bryan, I am one of the guilty ones who has not reported in a few weeks. It is not going to help much though. I have yet to run in Oct. because of shin splints which is not real good because I have a 1/2 marathon this Saturday. I'm going to try and squeeze in 2 short runs before then and hopefully have a good 1/2.

Week ending 9/25
3.1 miles
89 minutes
One short run and a hour of basketball

Week ending 10/2
16.4 miles
246 minutes
Two runs and a 4 mile mountain hike with my son

Week ending 10/9
0 miles
0 minutes

I'll post up this weeks tomorrow if I manage to squeeze in a run today.:thumbsup2

Congratulations Bryan! I think you'll do a fine job as team captain. :thumbsup2

Congratulations on your new job, Bryan. I was going to nominate you as well, but I see it is too late.

And hello Liz, long time no see here!

Hey Augie! Is it time to head to Disney yet?

As for co-captain...
How about Betsy :thumbsup2

My hours miles for week ending 10/17
12.4 (dbled 10k ) 76 minutes

:rotfl2: I have miles and miles of walking around the parks, too bad those don't count.
Seriously when I get home, I'll get back to getting in more miles and workout hours.
Beautiful day down here!!!:goodvibes

Hey Triple D's I do hope everyone is having a great weekend. If you are a sports fan, I hope your team wins (or won) this weekend. (Unless they played my team and then we did win.:rotfl2: )

I haven't been able to get the permission to upload our totals as of yet but I am hoping it will be soon. I am trying to keep a record of everything to keep it accurate when I can. So with that being said, I will still post my totals as well so we can have a record of it.

Miles - 101.25
Time - 10 hours

Great news My wrist feels 100% better. I am planning on starting back on my weight training on Monday so I am very excited about that. It has been 4 weeks since I have touched a weight and it has been driving me crazy. Hopefully, the progress will all be good.

Lastly, everyone is doing wonderful. I am so proud of everyone on this team. You guys are awesome! I do thank all of you for your well-wishes on my new "position". So I will close by saying, "Stay Motivated and Stay Active!"

Have a great night!
Bryan:cheer2:

Bryan, congratulations and great job in your new job. I have been posting regularly on this thread but not on any other - have to set priorities. ;)

This week’s results:
Running – 33 miles in 4hours and 32 minutes
Weights – 2 hours
Crawling around in the attic putting down insulation – believe me this was harder than the 13 mile run I did yesterday at 8 mpm pace – 3 hours (you do not have to count this but the effort -not to mention the soreness today - was actually harder than running a half marathon:scared1: ).

Hello 3D's, hope we are all doing well. Especially if you are a Sox fan.

My mileage for this week, is 100 biking in 6 hours, and 10 running in 45 (that is 4 days of running 2.5 miles) and on Friday I did a 5k , so that would become 6 miles, and I did it in 22:40.

Today I did a duathlon (which will go on next weeks total), and there is one coming up in a few weeks as well. Which is why my sudden increase in running.

This time next week I will be in Disney, and plan to do something I never did before, which is run while down there.

Have a good week!

Augie

Am I reading that right?? 10 miles of running in 45 minutes? Dude, that's flying! I just got finished doing 5 miles in 57 minutes. I feel like I need to go tuck and hide now.:rotfl: Seriously though, that's great!!

Team I have now gotten into the spreadsheet so I can add everyone's miles and hours now. I am going to try to see what needs to be added and get everything updated in the next couple of days. I will let you all know as soon as it is updated and how we are doing as a team.

Hope all of you are having an awesome night! Augie, I am really jealous that you are heading to DW and I am not.

Bryan

Bryan, thanks for catching that, that should be doubled. I run at lunch time, and it works out to a little over 20 minutes a day, so it should be 90 minutes. My bike commute to work is 12.5 miles, and that is 45 minutes, give or take a few minutes, so I figure 1.5 hours a day and 25 miles.

Hey TEAM!!! To the best of my ability, I have got the spreadsheet updated with what has been posted. There are several that hasn't posted in a while so I am going to ask if any of you have any miles and hours that you can send me. As of right now, we about 1000 miles out of first place. Jessica's Rabbit's has come on strong lately. I am sure that if we can get everyone's numbers, it could be the turning point that we need to take back the lead.

Augie, I noticed that for some reason, we don't have any miles for you for the week of September 14th. Knowing that you bike to work everyday, I know that can't be accurate. If you have any idea of what you did, I would like to be able to put it in.

Everyone I am heading out of town for a couple of days for a little R&R but I will be back Friday. I do look forward to hearing from all of you, if possible.

Bryan

Bryan, Enjoy your R&R, don't worry about the team! Everyone needs a little time away, so go and enjoy yourself. We will all keep working out and report at the usual time. :goodvibes

Hello Scott, welcome to the 3D's.

And here is my weekely mileage, 114 miles in 6:45. Was going to do a mountain bike race today, but realized I had already signed up for another bike ride, so I did that one instead. (which is not included in this mileage)

Have a great week, everyone!

Augie

I think this is the week you are looking for. I sent this in on the 21st which would cover the week of the 14th.

O.K Bryan, you asked for it. Sorry.

8/8 - 8/14 --------16.04 miles/ 292 minutes

8/15 - 8/21 -------5.29 miles/ 42 minutes

8/22 - 8/31 -------None/ None :confused3

9/1 - 9/7 ---------22.63 miles/ 205 minutes

9/8 - 9/14---------28.32 miles/ 254 minutes

9/15 - 9/21--------17.79 miles/ 147 minutes

10/15 - 10/21------42.11 miles/ 342 minutes

I'll try to keep more up to date in the future. Sorry again.

For the week ending 10-23 I got in 17.3 miles.

In case I forgot, the week ending 10-17 I got in 14.7 miles.

Sorry and thanks

Bryan,

I'm sorry that I've been one of the people not up-to-date with my postings. Life has taken over in a BIG way, and I am struggling with both time and motivation.

These are my totals for the month of October so far:
Miles: 19.77
Minutes: 237 minutes 42 seconds

I hesitate to say that I'm back on track, but I have every intention of keeping up both with my exercising and my posting from now on.

Hello 3D's, here is my mileage for the week of 19-25 October. Mon thru Fri there was no running, I did an extra 25 miles of biking on Wed, so the bike mileage is 150 in 9 hours. Last Sunday I did a duaathlon, 2 mile run, 10 mile bike, 2 mile run, so being it was a race, that is another 20 miles biking and 8 miles of running. My time for that was 1:06:18, to be precise.

Everyone have a good week! I am off to DW on Sunday, where I hopefully will get some runs in. And will have a few days of biking when I get back mid week.

Hey everyone!! It looks like everyone is doing really, really well. I want to thank everyone for sending in your reports. I know we all can get interrupted with life and a lack of motivation. I was battling the same thing about 6-8 weeks ago. That is when I noticed my mileage going down, my time and stress at work went up and more of my hair fell out. If you think about what we are doing, it is really amazing. An 11 month long competition, logging in how much time you put in and how far you go and keeping this kind of record for each and every week. No wonder people look at me all of the time and just say "You ain't right!". That's ok though. Because the gym and my training is my stress relief.

I just have to say that I thank each and every one of you for your time, efforts and commitment. You are all my inspiration to keep it up the way that I do.

Thanks everyone!!
Bryan:worship: :cheer2:

PS I will update the spreadsheet this weekend and let you know how it looks afterwards.

Hey Team!! I have updated the spreadsheet with all of the numbers that I have received. I want to thank all of the ones that went back into their records and sent me their information. That really helped our numbers get back up there some. We are still behind Jessica's Rabbit's by 1200 miles and about 200 hours but we are doing phenominal as a team. We are over 15,000 miles for the year!! :worship:

I also want to post my time and miles.

I had 90 miles (including a 5.5 mile hike and 1 mile hike while on vacation)
Time was 12 hours.

Hope everyone is doing well. Let's all have a great week!
Bryan
