Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

3.3 miles in 35:18 around my neighborhood. The weather is absolutely beautiful and couldn't help getting out and running, even though I was sore and stiff from yesterday. I feel GREAT!!!!!:cool1: pirate:

Hi, Big Vic...honey...:goodvibes ...I think Bryan's (Bubba73) hours are not making it to the spreadsheet. The miles are there, but looks like he had 12 hours to do those miles (and strength work) in.

Hey Bryan, that dude from Team 8 is talking some smack, so next week, let's get our 100 miles in. :thumbsup2 heehee! I'm starting out with a race on Sunday, so that will be double miles.

Hey team!! I have to tell you that I was feeling really bad this afternoon after posting that I had failed meeting my goal of 100 miles. I felt like I had let my team down. That's when my competitive spirit kicked in. After I got off work, I went back to the gym and got back on the exercise bike. I didn't have a lot of time and wanted to get in those 10 miles that I needed. So I got on that bike and I rode. Before I had left I had put on another 11 miles. That gives me 101 miles for the week! :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:

This is a real "milestone" for me. I have always averaged 40-50 miles a week so for me to do this has done 2 things. It has given me a sense of accomplishment and has made my legs really sore. That's ok. It's a good pain.

Thanks for the support all of you! Ironz, let's get out there and do it again this week. We will make Team 8 eat all that smack!

Bryan

Hey Team! I'm back from California and Vegas, got in very late last night. Sorry to say, I have no hours or miles to post for this past week. I did do miles of walking and up and down stairs in Vegas, but that doesn't really count. Today I did scoot on out and walked 4 miles that will go on next weeks totals. I will do my best to help the team out more this week!

Bryan, that's funny....'cause I almost had to get on the bike again today, just to do it. I'll hit it next week, hopefully.

SamSam...that's ok...there is next week to get after it! I travel for a living, and it is tough to get exercise into the routine while you're on the move.

BamaEd...good job!

Wow you guys are doing great!!!!!!!!

I forgot that races count as double! I've got to sign up for a few that
are coming up around here.
Congrats on your 5k Lynnda!

SamSam - Glad you had a nice time with the grandkids! It stinks
being back in the cold I'm sure. We've got snow/sleet/rain going on here
and I'm waaaaaay over it!

BamaEd1:welcome: Nice job this week!

Big Vic- thanks for being our Capt. and keeping the Panda
poop clear:thumbsup2

:worship: Bryan and Betsy - 100+ miles! You go!

Pretty good week for me, I'm back running and doing less
biking, but I'll try to incorporate both for a mileage boost!

Miles - 43 (bike/wogging)
Hours - 10.5 (bike/wogging/pilates/core)

Thanks again to everyone for having me on the team.
It's made me accountable for my time and has me train harder.

This team is great!:cheer2:
Keep up the good work everyone!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Just gotta say "LOVE THIS TEAM"!

Have a great weekend.

Vic -

Sorry I'm late with my minutes / miles for the week. Life has been nuts...

120 minutes
8 miles

Happy March, triple D's!!!

Minnie: Good job finding time to workout, even when life is getting nuts!

Twotoo: Awesome job!

Samsam: Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip.

Bryan: 101 miles?! Most impressive. :worship:

Vic: Sorry your still not feeling 100%. Get better soon and hit those roads!

Lynnda: Nice to "meet" you, and congrats on the 5k and the restof your miles.

Bill: You are doing great! But you've been awfully quiet (or maybe its just that I've been away and have missed your post?) -- hope everything is okay!

Sorry for whomever I missed (I know I did -- I'll have to go back and catch up later!)

I had a very productive week! I hate traveling on business, but on the bright side, I always end up waking up really early, giving me time to get in some yoga in the morning and then some running or biking in the fitness center later in the day. And as I rarely have anything better to distract myself with or anything I need to get to (like making dinner or helping kids with homework), I usually stay longer than normal. So (drumroll please), here are my numbers through Friday:

Minutes: 673
Miles: 68.4

I am pretty sure that is a personal record for me, mileage wise, and I won't come anywhere close till my next trip (or late spring when the weather gets nice and I am done with the semester's classes, so i need to boast about it when I can.

Now on to March! Go team, go! :cheer2:

Erica, that is most awesome!! I agree that it can be easier to get workouts in during business travel sometimes, since you are away from the chores/distractions of home.

Our team is so cool. :cool2:

Step back week in mileage this week for recovery. Running mileage will begin to ramp again next week.

Running miles 12.81, 2 hrs approx
Swimming 3 hours, call it a mile? lost track:confused3. But the swimming is getting easier. Last night's workout I almost looked like I knew what I was doing.
Biking none, began biking today! WOOHOO! Will clock those miles on next week.
Core 1.5 hours

Totals 13.8 miles, approx 6.5 hours

101 miles in a week? Dang, that's some serious mileage. Way to go.

Good job to everyone.

Paul

Erica- WTG! I agree that sometimes when traveling it's easier to fit in exercises, but occassionally I find it impossible to fit in.

Team Members.....We are an Awesome team! :cheer2:

I wasn't going to walk today, but it was an absolutely beautiful day (if you don't count 30 mph winds) and the weather is supposed to change tomorrow, so I decided to get out and add to my longest walk. I walked 8.2 miles (my longest), in 132 minutes. I know, not very fast, but I had stoplights and :) had to talk on my cellphone for a bit which slowed me. The good thing is, I'm now positive I can do the 15K Minnie and not be swept.

Is it too late for me to report for last week? I was at a meeting most of the week and didn't get much exercise done. :sad1:

Miles: 6.5
Minutes: 90

It won't be much better this week, but things should clear up again after that.

I hope that everyone else is getting more done!

Good morning Triple D's.

Everyone is doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

The spreadsheet has been updated.

:)

Kira...it ALL counts, and is GOOD for you, so WTG!! :cheer2:

Big Vic...I had a blister starting at mile 4 of my 1/2 marathon today....I just kept thinking of you and staying strong! :goodvibes

SamSam...good job getting out while you can. It's going to get nasty here tomorrow, too.

I thought of all the WISHers today while running....and how we're doing good things for ourselves and each other. (and how nice that double mileage for racing will look--hehehehe):cheer2:

Sorry about the blister, but WTG with staying strong and finishing with such a great time! :thumbsup2

Team:

I am sooo proud of this team. The unity, support and confidence is unbelievable! I have to say it is truly an honor to be here with all of you. Everyone here are winners! Way to go!

Now, I was just looking at our totals so far for this little competition that we are in. I don't know if you are all aware of what we have done in the last 2 weeks. We started off a little slow. After the first 2 weeks, we were in 6th place out of 8 teams. But in the last 2 weeks, we have moved up from 6th to 3rd and very close to 2nd place. :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: That is fantastic teamwork! Unbelievable! Now, I know this is a "friendly" competition but we have already had one of the members of Jessica's Rabbits come into our house and talk a lot of smack. Well, guess what. They are in 1st place. It's not smack when they can back it up. They are about 125 miles ahead of us already. I know that this is an 11 month competition and we only just finished the first but I sure would like to pass that team to put that guy back into his place.

So the only way we can do this is if we all do it. It has to be a team effort. So let's get out there and put in the miles and make Jessica's Rabbits look like a bunch of turtles.

(I hope this does not come across negative. I really do think all of you are awesome! I just have a very high competitive spirit and I can't stand when someone talks bad about our team.)

Hope you all have a great week!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had National Guard drill so I didn't get to run but I did lift weights for about 1hr. I will take Monday off to recuperate because Tuesday, I have my physical test for the fire dept. It is HARD and I need to be rested! Wish me luck:goodvibes

First, thanks for your service in the National Guard. Second, sounds like maybe your physical test might count toward weekly time. Good luck with your test.:cheer2:

Bubba - I agree,this team is awesome! :cheer2:

Betsy - You are tough! A blister for most of your 1/2 is rough.

Everyone - Have a fantastic week.
