I am curious about this too.

You might get a better response if you post this on the Restaurant board.

Hi we went in May, and everything was great except our server never brought us our drinks through the whole breakfast. :rolleyes1 After we were done, they came over and apoligized because there was a mix up on who our server actually was. The food was good, but hard to digest if you don't even have water to drink.

When we were there it was ::MickeyMo Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy and we got to spend alot of picture time with all of them so to me that was worth it.

We did the breakfastasaurus the morning after our wedding at the Swan last year. While dh & I were cursing the ADR the whole way from the Swan to AK- (I scheduled it at first seating to get early entry into AK)- we loved it. We had a large party of 12 and are not particularly big breakfast eaters but we had plenty of food choices and characters aplenty. We had a great time with Goofy- got a great pic of best man and his wife and goofy and it looked as tho Goofy was coping a feel on the wife's very well endowed chest and goofy's tongue was hanging on the side in that pic! It was not intentional on anyone's part (would like to think GOofy was as innocent as we!) but it was priceless! We saw it on the digital's screen and we knew that that would go into the wedding scrapbook. I also poured ice over BM's head after some of his teasing and in the picture w/ him and Donald he had a wet spot on his shorts. Needless to say that he wasn't allowed IN any pics the rest of the week. :rotfl2:

On a more family side- they did a great job with circulating the characters and acknowledging every possible occassion with embarrassing singing. The kids loved it-especially my 5 yr old godson whose bday we made them celebrate a few days early.

Oh now I am getting excited! Thanks for the input! The pictures of the bridal party sound great!!!!!!
We have a great one of my SIL with pluto licking her head up against the wall, it is about 20 years old now and I still cherish it!!

My dh is the biggest Donald Duck fan I know. I planned a weekend at Disney for us to celebrate our birthdays. He was not real happy and could not understand why I said we had to be at Animal Kingdom so early, or why we had to have breakfast at AK. He was so busy people watching when we got to the park that he didn't notive the big sign that said Donalds breakfastsaurus. He was really happy and appreciative when he realized we were having breakfast with the duck. So, in my opinion it was a great breakfast and well worth every penny.

We ate there in September. I personally prefer sit-down meals to buffets, but the food was good and the character experiences were great. I believe Pluto is also at Garden Grill in Epcot, but may be wrong.

Our server also had trouble keeping our drinks filled. Anytime we do a breakfast, we book the latest one possible. Our strategy is to eat one character meal in the park and take snacks for the remainder of the day.

I'm sure your kids will love the character experience.

We went in April and loved it. This was my DH's first character breakfast (DD and I went to the Akershus princess breakfast), he is now a convert. We loved it. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, like pinkprincessmom said, we only needed snacks for the rest of the day. :sunny:

We've done Donald's twice. The first time was truly fantastic. The characters came around multiple times, spent plenty of time with the kids. The service was excellent and the food was good for a buffet.

The second time we were hearded like cattle--everyone was seated in that section at the same time, told exactly when each table could go to the buffet (try telling a 4 year old to watch others eat, but he can't himself, it took awhile to get drinks b/c the whole sections drink orders were taken and then delivered at once). The characters only came around once, you had to be at the table (don't go to the bathroom & pray you aren't in the buffet line), spent minimal time, & pluto totally ignored our second child. The service was good, but not great. The food was still good. But everything took FOREVER.

I'm not sure which is more standard. I think we might do it again if the kids wanted to, but I also wouldn't mind missing this one after our second time.

We have done Donald's three times now and each time it was great! The characters spend ample time at each table for photos and autographs. Mickey even took an extra photo with just him and Pal Mickey for us! We saw Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Pluto each time. Our waiter/waitress each time was fine as was the food. One reccomendation I have is NOT to book the first seating on the same day as early entry for resort guests!!! We made that mistake once and could not get through the crowd of people to enter being 30 minutes late for our reservation even though we were out in front of the gates in plenty of time to get there early. They still seated us anyway and were wonderful about it. Have fun!

I have been to just about every character meal and I have to say this was'nt one of the better ones. I too felt rushed. There were 12 of us and they sat us in a terrible location with a lot of traffic. I thought the way they set up the food was'nt very appealing and the service was not too good either. The only great thing about it was the characters. I love meeting them. I would'nt do this breakfast again when there are so many other choices.

Our experience at Breakfastsaurus was that the food was cold and some buffet dishes were empty. Our waiter was very funny but service was slow. The characters only stopped long enough for a quick photo, and one character never made it to our table and we were there for 90+ minutes. I think there are far better character dining experiences at WDW.

As for My Pal Mickey, we ere at WDW last week. MPM was for sale in many of the shops. However, I never saw anyone with a MPM in any of the parks. I didn't even see anyone buy one. I thought it looked sort of interesting and because they seemed to be for sale everywhere, I actually started looking out for them. Never saw a single one. :confused3

I'd post your MPM question on the theme parks board to see if you can find someone who has actually bought one.

1900 Park Fare is my FAVORITE breakfast..........but I digress.... ;)

We did Breakfastosaurus on our last trip and I thought that it was pretty good - really nice selection of food. The only thing that I DIDN"T like is that the lines to get food were astronimical, much worse than any other breakfast buffet that I have ever been to (and I have been to A LOT in Disney) and I couldn't see why.... :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Also, at least when i was there, the characters seemed in a rush and didn't really spend much time with my son, husband, or myself. They knelt down took a quick picture and then were on their way. Now I understand that they have 3686842986908254684268 other tables to go to, but there was much more interaction with other tables......

Loved It and It is totally worth it!! It was our one Big $$ meal out! Besides you are in AK so early you can walk on stuff just as the park is starting to open. I say go for it!

We loved it. Getting pictures of the characters in a different outfit was a nice change for me. I must agree that the lines were a little long but I attributed it to the time of year we went hence the volume of people. But once we got our food and the characters started circulating, the pixie dust takes over. Besides that it's nice being close to Dinosaur when you finish.

we were at ak last week and did the donaldsaurus breakfast, which i was not too fond of. Our server was very slow, it seemed totally disorganized out of all the character breakfasts i was comparing it to , but sometimes u do things on an off day. Although i did get great character pictures!
As far as the pal mickey, u can buy last years model for 15.00 on disneydeals.com site , i think it is.
We got one and it was well worth it, my dd (10) carried it around everyday on a lanyard and it told her cute jokes and info about shows and parade times thru-out our trip. But I`m not sure I`d pay the full 65.00 they are asking in the park.
somethings are just way overpriced, for instance I bought light up sun glasses after halloween on clearance at walmart 90% off they came to a buck a pair, which I found them selling the same exact glasses in the parks for close to 25.oo bucks. what a rip off, they were originally at walmart at halloween time for 10.00.
have a great trip, but watch out so u dont get ripped off!

We ate there this past Thursday (Thanksgiving) morning and everyone totally enjoyed it. Our ADR was for 8:45 am so we got into the park early and they were just beginning to sit people in the room we sat in and they characters all came in one after another with no problems. They spent time with the kids and took as many pictures as we wanted. They were all dressed for xmas which was really nice. We saw Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy.

There was plenty of variety with the food that everyone was happy and had plenty to eat. There were 2 adults and 3 kids ages 2, 10 and 11 s everyone finding something they like on a buffet doesn't happen often. Our server was great too but as I noticed everywhere in WDW you don't get refills on your coffee often without asking so be sure to ask when your server comes around if you need a refill.

All in all I would recommend doing it. We all enjoyed it and it beat the heck out of fighting crowds at the counters at the hotel.

Excuse me while I get on my flame-retardant suit.............. :firefight (I got flamed the last time I answered a "Duckasaurus" question).

I searched high and low for a breakfast with "Duck" back in April for my (then) 2 1/2 year old DS. We did Duck's Breakfastsaurus and we're very disappointed. The characters came all at once, and were gone in a flash. I also felt like the server (who was very nice) had her foot up our rears, trying to get us out quickly. Overall, I liked breakfast at the Poly better, but, alas, no Duck.

BTW - we got a better pic of DS and Duck when we went to the meet n greet area of AK. Duck took a lot of time with him and we got a great pic of him hugging Duck. Now that was worth it!

We enjoyed it, too, and plan to have breakfast there on our next trip.
