We ate Breakfast here Thanksgiving morning. We had an 8am ps. We arrived about 7:40 by car(did not take AKL bus). They did not let people(except a taxi), go through until about 7:50-7:55. Easy to park up close and were at the gate by 8(some people were running!). Gave our name to a CM who wrote it on a pad. Then we had to wait for our name to be called. About a 5 min wait and we went off to the restaurant with several other families. The CM talked about things as we walked by. We marched into the right side of the restaurant and got a great table right by a Christmas tree(wonderful for pictures with the characters! no other people in the background). Our server Lisa, told us when the characters would appear, which ones and at what time. She said we had time to get our food. We did have a slow moving line on our side of the buffet, but it was worth the wait! We got back to our table and had a few minutes to eat before Mickey, then Pluto appeared. Kids had some interaction, autographs, and we took the pictures. We had time to eat, and the kids and DH went to the fruit and donut bar at this point. Lisa was very good and even played a joke on DS that made DH laugh SO hard I thought he was going to choke! That alone was worth the price :teeth: . Goofy then Donald came by and spent just as much time with us. We did not feel rushed either. The food, service and characters were excellent. When we left we saw LOTS of people waiting to be seated.::yes:: I was glad we had the first PS on a holiday!:D We then walked right onto Prim. Whirl, TS, and FOTLK I would do this one again in a heartbeat. :D

Glad to hear you had such a good experience!!!

We have a 8:00 PS this Sunday the 14th.
I hope to have a good experience like you

Thanks!
I love detailed posts like this. I hate going into a new situation with no idea how things work.
We will be dining with Donald & friends on 2/2/04! :hyper:
Hungry for a breakfast bar right now, but I guess my Special K will have to do. sigh...

Glad to have been some help. I should have added that we were finished at 9! Worked perfect.:D
I hope you both have good experiences too. Yes, it beat my piece of toast this morning ::yes:: ! And it actually was one of the cheaper character breakfasts that we have done. ;)
I'd be glad to answer any questions.:D

Thanks for your review! We've never done Donald's. But it is on our plans for our upcoming Feb. trip and I'm glad to hear you had a good time. I never read to many reviews on this breakfast but the few I do see seem to be all in favor of the experience. :)

We also have our very first Breakfast Scheduled for Dec 27th 8am...glad to hear that you enjoyed it...I was hoping the early ressie would be a good idea...

Thanks for the great review! We have an 8:00 PS at Donald's on 2/7 and it's a relief to know what to expect! :Pinkbounc I can't wait!

I forgot to say we are scheduled for a 10 am PS on an early entry day. Hope to have the safari and TTBB under our belts before stopping for our late brkfst early lunch. Man, am I hungry for a breakfast buffet right now....

:) Thanks for the great review! I had been wondering too about eating at "Donald's Breakfastsaures. Last year my sister and I tried Chef Mickeys and liked that. We are going back to WDW next summer. our 14 year old niece will be with us.I think I will have time to try "Donald's Breakfastsaures". Out of curiosity which do you prefer?

Out of curiosity which do you prefer?

Donald's! Honestly, Chef Mickey's is our least favorite character breakfast so far(we liked it, not loved it), though we "may" try it for dinner in Feb. Donald's seems more personal perhaps. I always like being in a park early for breakfast and everything just went right at Donald's. The food and service were excellent, as were the characters. Every single picture of the kids with the characters in front of that tree could be our Christmas card! The kids were so happy too. DS is 12 and DD 8 and this was the breakfast he has wanted to do the most. He says he could do this one again every time. :p It was just more "intimate" than Chef Mickeys. I hope everyone can have as positive an experience as we did. :D

This is our favorite character breakfast! We liked it much more than Chef Mickeys, I think I just liked the coziness of the resturant, and the food was great.

I just liked the coziness

Cozy IS the perfect word to describe it. And that is what we wanted for Thanksgiving.:D
Oh, it was funny when our Waitress, Lisa, said they had Krispy Kremes and people clapped. DH did NOT understand why they clapped as we grew up with Krispy Kremes in town. I had to explain that they are somewhat new and special to people up north. He still did not get it. :p

I am glad you had such a wonderful experience.

We ate there a couple years ago and our experience was not good. Maybe we will try again next trip.

We will be in Disney in May 04. We arrive on a Saturday and my son will be four on Sunday. He is a dinosaur man!!!!! I think we will go to AK for our first full day and let him enjoy Dinoland and celebrate his birthday at this restaurant. I am very excited!!!
Hope they can do something a little special. Thanks for the detailed thread

Kelma - You will be there 2/2? Well, you probably won't miss us, as we will be the big group that everyone will be staring at (you'd think people have never seen 5 small children before!) A big girl, three blonde boys, and a baby girl. Tall husband, and I wear glasses.
Anyway, I am going to try and find some lime green ribbons for our stuff.
See you there! :wave2:

Sarah (aka DisneyMom5), Wow, what a lucky, busy Mommy you are! We'll be, as there are only 4 of us, (hopefully, although you never know ;) ) less of a sight. My husband is tall with brown hair, I'm short with shoulder length brown hair, our dd is 5 (but tall) with wavy brown hair and our almost 3 year old has blondish hair. Sounds like we'd better look out for you though, assuming that's not too weird or stalkerish :)

Kelma (aka Kellam :) )

PS I'm sure all those people staring are just thinking what a beautiful family you are.::yes::

Kelma - Although we are an attractive bunch ;)
we usually get the "are they all yours" type stuff. I have friends with more kids, so I think that's funny.
Wait til they get a sight of us in our matching shirts. (I think I have planned on orange shirts for that day. Only the kids will be matching though.)
Dh is embarrased already, and we have gotten there yet (he's not too hip on the matching shirts. LOL)
I think it would be cool to run into some DIS-ers, so stop by and say hi.
:wave2:

I was going to book an early reservation, but after reading some reviews, I am thinking about doing a later breakfast....10:30 sounds pretty good. What's your reasoning behind having it later in the morning? Just curious.
