Donald's breakfast @AK

We are going in October. I was thinking of doing this breakfast on the day we went to AK since from what I read it is not a long day. I would love to hear what others have to say about this. I am trying to stay away from the princesses so DS will enjoy it too.

we are going on wed 6/22 we have never been before. Donald is my DH's favorite and that is his birthday. Hopefully we will love it.

We LOVE Donald's Breakfastasauru in AK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Food is great and the characters have always come back to us at least once, the last trip Jan 2004, we were one of the last families eating so they spent TONS of time with us. I think we had a 10:50 PS, we do it as a late breakfast early lunch then get a snack and have a big dinner, saves money and my kids are not big eaters when they first get up. We wont be doing it this trip, not doing AK.

My family and I loved breakfast at Donald's Restaurantosaurus,AK. It's buffet style set in a rustic setting. It was a lot of fun . We met Mikey, Pluto, Donald all our favorites It was a great chance to get some good pictures.

Love Breakfastasaurus!!! And I have found that it's a good one to do a little later in the morning. We usually get over to AK and do the safari and a few other things first and then try to eat at about 10:30 or so. Enjoy!

You will find mixed reviews on this restaurant if you search, but we loved it. The menu was excellent because it had such a big variety of hot foods and cold foods. The coffee cake was the BEST thing there IMO...yummy. They had all the yummy hot foods like bacon, sausage, 2 kinds of hashbrowns, biscuits, pancakes, etc. Then they had a cold bar with cereal, fruit, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, muffins, danish, coffee cake, etc. Most people that dislike the restaurant say they felt rushed with the characters. However, I think that's just because it's more structured character time than at other restaurants. If you go to Chef Mickey's, the characters just kinda wander around here and there. At Donald's, there is a specific time they come to each room and you are told ahead of time. All the characters come into the room at once and make there way down one wall, then in the middle, then up the other wall and they are done. The CMs were very nice and made sure that every table had met each character before they left for the next room. Dh and I really liked this one, and will probably do it again in Oct.

We really, really, really enjoyed this meal at AK. We went in December and the characters all had on their Christmas outfits (we even got to see Mickey, which was a surprise!).

We personally liked the whole "all the characters come into the room at one time" and thought it was pretty orderly. It helped our DD (4 at the time) enjoy the characters and the breakfast.

On a side note, they had the BEST breakfast pizza.

We loved it! One of our favorites. We enjoyed getting one of the earlies PS times...we were seated in the main room where the buffet is located..and because it was the earlies time avail, it wasn't really crowded yet so the characters were aroung a lot....The food was great too.

We actually have this breakfast booked! It's our traditional "First full day" breakfast. It's so much fun. We loved it! And there's so much food, even a picky eater can find SOMETHING.

We did this in January and we liked it a lot!

We had a PS for 10:30 (I think) but it ended up POURING rain. We were soaked to the bone before we even made it out of the resort. When we arrived the park wasn't even open yet, but there was NO WAY I was going to stand there at the turnstiles and get wetter and wetter, so I told them we had a PS. Which we did, it just wasn't until 2 hours later.

The CM's at Donald's were SO nice! They seated us after a very short wait, brought us towels to dry off with, and were just terrific all around. The characters were Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Mickey. All of the characters came to our table twice. Our server (Billy) was really nice and attentive. The waiters are fun - magic tricks, little jokes, etc.

Food was fresh, plentiful, terrific variety. We will be going back in October - hopefully in the sun!

We just had breakfast there this past week. We had PS for 8:00 A.M. and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was the best we had the entire trip- he was great!!! He even came to get me from the buffet line so I didn't miss the characters. However, the buffet line was terribly long and the characters were extremely rushed. In fact, two of my pictures were blurred because the characters were rushing off!
