Is Donald at the Chef Mickeys breakfast or only at the one at AK? My son is a Donald Duck fan, DD wants to see Minnie and I had heard CM's was the place to eat breakfast and we have AR for there already. Do I need to make AR for Donalds too?? :confused3

He has always been at the front of the restaurant (Chef Mickey's) every time we've been. He is DD's favorite so we get a picture every time.

You must make reservations for all the character meals as they are very popular.

We were at Chef Mickey's last November 04 and Donald was there. Actually Micky, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Excellent time. Highly recommend it. And yes definately make a PS at every charactor meal.

We haven't been to Chef Mickey's since Nov. 2003 & Donald was not there. Ditto for 2000 & 2001. Is he a new (since 2004) addition to Chef Mickey's - My kids would love to see him! :sunny:

When we were at CM's this past January, he was the character that was out in the lobby area. Well not really a lobby, but close to the food (not in where the tables were) if that makes sense. He was great. When my GD handed him her autograph book, he held it in one hand, wouldn't sign it, and with the other hand kept pointing to himself and holding up one finger. My son finally told her that he wanted her to say he was number 1. My mouthy 8 y/o GD put both hands on her hips and said 'no way, this is Mickey's place, he's number 1'. It was the line Donald was waiting for. He threw her book to the floor, started jumping up and down, and had one of his royal tantrums. He then picked up my GD's hand, kissed it, and signed both her autograph book and an autograph t-shirt she had. Signing them 'Donald's #1', at which point she shook her finger at him, and said 'Mickey's gonna be mad at you'. Donald then gave her a big hug. We got some really cute pictures of his temper tantrum, my GD shaking her finger at him, and him hugging her and kissing her hand.

It was extremely busy that night, but Donald never seemed to get in a hurry and took his time with each child. He seemed to have an instinct for which kids' to tease and which kids might be shy and just want an autograph, without any of his antics. He definitely pegged my GD right. She doesn't have a shy bone in her body and was ready to mouth right back at him. They had everyone around there rolling with laughter. I don't know which was more funny, seeing his temper tantrum or a small 8 y/o tapping her foot, shaking her finger at him, telling him off, and then the look on her face afterwards when he kissed her hand.

We were there in July staying at the CR - Donald was there for dinner, not breakfast.

We've been doing Chef Mickey's since 2002 and Donald has been at dinner. We've never been to CM for breakfast. He stays in the lobby part of the restaurant and does not make the rounds like the other characters.

He wasn't there for breakfast in May.

The one thing I really like about this meal (we always go at dinner) is that it keeps DS occupied, we always sit where he can see the monorail go by. I have always really, really liked the charactor interaction at this meal too. Goofy even got my anxiety ridden son to laugh!

Donald was NOT there for breakfast when we went in 2003, but he WAS there for dinner 2 weeks ago!!

I agree, I've never seen Donald at Breakfast at Chef Mickeys, I assume this is because of the Donald Breakfastasaurus Character Breakfast?? I don't know, but I do know that every dinner we've had at Chef Mickey's for the last 3/4 years Donald has been there. He does NOT make the rounds to the tables however, like the other characters, he's in the lobby/waiting area, you can take pics, get autographs, etc..... he just doesn't come to the table.

We are eating at both places on our upcoming trip, we've never done Donald's b-fast, so we are looking forward to it. If you can, do both!!!

While Donald is not usually one of my favorite characters when we were there for dinner my son had a Pal mickey and Donald grabbed it from him and went running away frm my son with it. He then took it and spun it around by the tail - LOL. It was pretty funny. He really did take time with all the kids and never seemed to be in a hurry. I think Donald was one of the ones that really sold me on Chef Mickeys

Donald was there in March and last September. Both times he was out in the waiting area and did not make the rounds at the table. I think that his "Chef" outfit is soooo cute. He is just sound round and cute anyway :goodvibes
