In regard to meeting Donald Duck outside Tusker House and Belle outside Akershus...is it just a quick picture or is it like a more traditional meet and greet? Like, can each of my daughters get their own pic with them and one together and get autographs and such?

As for Belle, you can take a group picture and/or individual pictures, however, I believe only one picture is part of the package. Belle will also talk to your DDs and sign autographs for them. As for Donald, the last time we were there he did not do a picture before we were seated, instead he came around to our table so I really could not answer that question for you. We will be eating there again in September so I will have a clearer answer then.

You can take as many pics as you would like with Belle, you just have to tell the photographer which set of people you want your free portrait taken with. She spoke to both my DDs, and showed my youngest her shoes on request, lol. It was a nice interaction.
The other princesses come to your table and the interaction is less formal but very good.

We did not do a pre-meal pic with Donald. He came to the table.

When we were at Tusker House for breakfast (Dec 08), the photo before breakfast was just our family. Donald was one of the characters that came to the table. I haven't heard of that changing.

Belle at Akershus was a traditional meet & greet.

Do you get a free photo at the Donald's Safari breakfast like you do with Belle at Akershus?

When we were at Donald's Breakfast in June, we had to wait in line for a picture with Donald and then at Breakfast we were presented with the option of purchasing a photo package. The photograpers offered to take pics with our camera & we could get autographs...Donald did not come to our table.

At Akershus, as others mentioned, we had a nice interaction with Belle, got a picture and signed autographs. She did not come around to the tables either. As previously mentioned, the photo package was included with our meal price.

Incidentally, we added the Akershus picture to our Photopass CD using the number on the side of the picture. This actually added all of the pics they took (including the ones in which my DS5 refused to stand anywhere within 10 feet of a princess. :lmao:)

As others have said Belle at Akershus is pretty close to a normal Meet and Greet where you can take multiple pictures, she will sign autographs and have good interaction without being rushed to your table. When my girlfriend and I went to Donald's Breakfast Safari in May, as a previous poster said, we waited on line to get our picture taken with Donald and he did NOT visit our table. We were able to get pictures with our own camera and I saw a few kids in front of us get autographs. It was like a shortened meet and greet where after the picture was taken, you were sort of rushed off to our table. You do not get a free picture with Donald like you do with Belle. Just hope the picture they take with your camera comes out half way decent.

Ugh. I actually wish they'd do away with those photo packages. Ours rarely turn out well and I have a hard time saying 'no'.

Oh well - thanks for the updated info!

How long does the line usually take for Donald pictures? We have a 9:40 ADR on 11/24 for Tusker house for my fiance's bday, and I know he'd really like a picture with Donald. Would we miss breakfast? Since it's outside, if you are a little early for your reservation, do they let you line for Donald since you aren't going to your table yet anyways? Sorry, I just find this really odd and my mind can't wrap around how that would work.

You wont miss breakfast so don't worry at all about it. The way it worked for us (if I remember right) is that we checked in and got a receipt with our table and waitress on it and such. We were told to get on the line to take our picture which was about 10 mins or so since it was really hot and Donald had to take a breather. When it got to be our turn we handed a hostess our receipt while someone else took our picture. After the picture the hostess brought us inside and had us seated.

My 2 bits of advice are

1: See if you can get an ADR for before the park opens. There is less of a wait since they aren't waiting for tables to turn over yet.
2: Get there on the earlier side. They usually try to sit people as they arrive, especially if it is just the 2 of you they can usually sit you pretty fast.

The photos are taken outside?? I can only imagine the wait in September. Now I am second quessing this ADR.

Donald is now outside Tusker House...just before the entrance to the restuarant. I didn't stop and wait in the line for a photo. Belle is situated inside Akershus..just inside the door. The photo with Belle isn't 'free'...this is why you pay more for this meal than 1900 Park Fare, for instance. It is almost $10 more other breakasts with characters. But, it is included in your meal price...just like at CRT.

I know that when we ate at Tusker House, for breakfast, back in Dec, Donald did not come to the tables....if you didn't wait in that line, you didn't get a photo with Donald.

We have done this the past 3 septembers..we usually have an early morning - pre opening ADR, but we have never waited more than 10 minutes for the photo and to be seated!
