Has anyone tried this new pizza yet? Can you order this in any size or do you have to tell them specifically that you want this new pizza or else you get the old crappy pizza? I see they have a 2 medium pizza with 2 toppings deal for $5.99 each. It has been so long since we ordered or even tried Dominos pizza.

Here is their Youtube video. It doesn't have sound in the begining.

We order Domino's fairly often. We always liked the old recipe. We ordered about 1 1/2 weeks ago - great deal - extra large 1 topping for $5.99 to promote new recipe. We ordered 3 with the intention of having leftovers for the next day or so.

You do automatically get the new recipe - we did not ask for it - that is how they make their pizza now. We thought it was pretty good for the first couple slices. But then the very strong garlic flavor of the new crust (and maybe sauce too) takes over. We tried to eat some the next day for lunch and no one liked it. For the first time ever, we had to throw out leftover pizza.

Now this is just us and our opinion...you and your family may like it. But, yes, you will get the new recipe without asking for it.

We had this last night and I didn't like it. I like the new cheese and crust but I do not like the new sauce. It's alittle to spicy for me.

Ditto -- what the other posters said. We ordered it last night and it wasn't very well received at my house!

I was glad to see this post ! I was wondering about the "new" pizza . We are not Domino's fans anyway. We usually get our pizza from Papa John's & love it. The problem is that we need to drive out of our way to get it while Domino's will deliver so we were thinking about trying it.

I saw that with the new pizza, Domino's is offering a full refund if you try it & don't like...so call them to ask for the refund, for those of you who tried it and didn't like it. No sense in wasting your money..!

I also ordered the new pizza and wasn't impressed. You don't have to ask for it since they don't make the "old" pizza anymore. We also loved the new crust but thought the sauce was a little to spicy. I did find that it at least tasted a little better the next day.

We just started going to Domino's right before the switch after Pizza Hut started making their sauce too sweet. We liked the Domino's old recipe and now we like the new recipe, too. Not too spicy to us at all. Just right. Good flavor, not sweet, not spicy. For $5.99 for a large carryout 1 topping right now that feeds the two of us for dinner and lunch the next day you can't beat it. We get one every Sunday night for dinner.

Ah! DH and I ordered a pizza last week and HATED it. We couldn't figure out why, though we noticed the difference in the crust.

Guess that explains it- new recipe. Guess we'll stick to Papa John's for now!

DH will ONLY eat Domino's. We were kinda worried about the new "pizza" as he will NOT eat garlic, provolone, and was worried about the sauce...

Well fear not...If you dont like the new crust, order a Brooklyn style..its not flavored with the "new" garlic flavor...as for the sauce, order "light sauce"..then its not so overpowering..and as for the cheese, DH loves it...

Funny story, I ordered 2 Brooklyns the other night. They had the new flavoring on them. I had ordered them online, and mentioned in the comments about my order, how I disliked the new crust. Well the manager called me up yesterday, and explained the Brooklyn was not supposed to be flavored, and it was a store mess up. They gave me a free pizza for my troubles. Very nice of them..But try it..you may like it

It seems as if the big 3 pizza places have tweaked their pizzas lately.

Dominoes went from bad to worse.
Papa Johns went from edible to bad, not sure what they did but it isn't good.
Pizza Hut went from bad to edible-the sauce is not as strong as before.

I wish there were more options around here, but they don't exist.

We won't be ordering from them anymore because no one liked the new pizza. We ordered on Christmas Eve day because my son put "pizza" on his list for Christmas. Dominoes is the cheapest around so that's where we ordered. The spiciness of the sauce gave me a tummy ache as well. We still have 1/2 a pizza in the fridge which is unheard of here - guess it's time to through it out although I don't have to worry about anyone getting it out and eating it.

We've tried the new pizza and it wasn't a big hit at our house either. My 4 year old said the sauce was too spicy and my other kids and DH didn't like the garlic seasoning on the crust. We have Pizza Night every Friday and rotate through 4 pizza places (so we don't get too tired of one place).....I guess we will take Dominos out of the rotation. We really wish we had a good NY style pizza place around.

We just ordered it the other night. LOVED it!!! Actually thinking about getting it again tonight! I guess it's true, that there is a lid for every pot!

Have any of you tried papa murphys take and bake pizza? I find I like this better than any of the pizza places in my neck of woods.

We just ordered specifically after hearing they'd changed the recipe. We never liked it before -- boring crust, sauce far too sweet. Read one of the issues compelling them to change was a taste test in which their pizza was rated at the bottom (or actually ranking the same as chuck e cheese, yikes!). Well we actually really like the changes. Just a hint of spiceness, not too bad, garlic wasn't overwhelming though was present.

My only issue is that as usual they over-sauce. I usually find that places that oversauce are trying to cloak difficiencies in crust, other ingredients.

We didn't like how greasy the new crust is. One of the things we always liked about Dominoes was that it wasn't as greasy as some others, so we didn't feel quite so guilty about eating it. But, this new pizza left grease all over the pizza box. Not Good! :sad2:

I didn't like it but the rest of my family did. We have pizza days thru are school so we order once a month. I well get a salad from now one. Tried a sub also it was gross.
