Dolphins at sea world

Other than the set times of the shows, are there any places/times where you can get up close to the dolphins in Sea World?

You can visit dolphin cove any time and pet the dolphins. Make sure to find out what time feeding is and get there early so you can buy fish to feed the dolphins. If you don't buy any fish, make sure to stand by someone who has because the dolphins always hang out by the fish and you will get a better chance of touching them.

In addition to Dolphin Cove, which is located in the Key West area, there is also the dolphin nursery which is near the Waterfront. As of last week when we were at SW, there were no births but there are 5 pregnant dolphins in the nursery pool and we were told that any of them could give birth any time from now to August. The trainers in this area were very informative and it was nice watching the dolphins in an environment that is MUCH less crowded than Dolphin Cove. You cannot pet and/or feed the dolphins in the nursery pool, however.
