Has anyone done the Dolphin tour at SW? We are thinking of doing this instead of DC because we think our kids may need to be a little older for DC? And frankly the tour would be much much easier on the budget. I know that the two would not compare but having never done DC I think our kids wouldn't feel like they missed out on this trip. I just can't find any details or trip reports where anyone has done the Dolphin tour???? Thanks for any help.

We did it last year with our 4YO DD.
It was nice enought that I will be looking to do the SeaLion tour this week. (in orlando now).

The tour guide was not as informative as the guides on Disney tours - but she was nice enough. They took you in the back and showed you the tanks the dolphins were kept in. Touched a bit on how to become a trainer.

The highlight of the tour is the dolphin interaction. They take the group down the the Dolphin Cove where the regular park guest are. But, you have a section blocked off for your group. You are then matched up with a trainer and they show you some of the commands to get the dolphins to do tricks. They then have you give the commands. You can also touch the dolphins. My only disappointment is there was no feeding of the dolphins. I think that would have been a nice touch to add.

I thought about doing the dolphin tour too, but my girls are most interested in feeding them! So, I just booked the family fun tour, which is $25 more per adult, but also a longer tour (4 hours) and allows you to feed dolphins and sea lions, and interact with penguins. You also get the other perks (by pass lines in happy harbor, reserved seating at Believe, lunch). Regardless of which tour you do, I think any tour provides you with an incredible opportunity to see Sea world from a different perspective with special advantages and experiences.

We've wanted to do this for a while now....sounds like it would be worth it.
