if you have the uber app already, you don't need to use anything else

in the app you can choose a pickup location OTHER than where you are and a destination (of course) and you'll get 'now' price(s) .... until you choose one and 'confirm' no charge applies and nothing is booked. I've done it dozens and dozens of times.
