I would just put about $1-$2 per person in each room. How much we leave depends on how messy we leave the room each day and how many 1's I happen to have.

Don't worry about not having envelopes. I haven't stayed in the Swan or Dolphin, but the Disney resorts have a card in them that says who your housekeeper will be. I leave the money in that card and it works just fine.

$1. per day per person is sufficient. I always leave it in amousekeepin envelope in one of the rooms.

I also leave the door between the rooms open so they know the same party is in the 2 rooms. If your rooms are not connecting that is tuff to do.

But, on our last ttrip I found something out, we had different maids for the 2 rooms - even thou we had connecting rooms we had different maids for each room - found this out one day when I was there and one showed up - as she was leaving I asked if she was going to do the other room, and that is when she told me......

So from now on I will leave a seperate envelope in each room with $1 per person in the room....

What this about mousekeeping cards?

I have stayed in Disney properties 4 times, and never noticed a card w/ the name of our housekeeper.

Also, add me to the list of people who leave one tip at the end of their visit, as is standard industry-wide. For my low-maintainance family of 4 (just towels and beds), I leave $5/day.

Personally, I would leave $2 per night in your room, and $5 per night in the teens' room, because they're usually a little messier.

And I agree with leaving the tip every night, because housekeepers may change during the week.

My favorite plea to them nightly before they go to bed is, "please, make a path in case of fire!"
