Dolphin Tale DVD - Clearwater

Just enjoyed watching Dolphin Tale on DVD.

It was a good film (based on a true story about a dolphin who gets a prosthetic tail) with the added bonus of being filmed in and near Clearwater.

I recognised the beach where they find the dolphin in the film as honeymoon island state park and there was a little bit of tarpon springs aswell.

I've not seen the film but we went to see Winter on our trip in 2007. The BBC had run a story on her and as we'd already booked to stay at St Pete Beach we decided we just had to go to see her. They were just fitting her out for her first prosthetic tail when we went - a very brave little girl.

I haven't seen the film yet either, but we did go the the clearwater aqarium last October and saw Winter! Hopefully the money from the film will help them rebuild the place and make it much better for them
