dolphin swim Pictures

Some of our family are doing the Dolphin swim. If I stand as close as they allow (for those not participating) will I be able to get decent pictures? I am wondering if we can get by without the photo package?

The DC photographers are right in the water, directly facing the group. These are the kind of pics you will get from the photo package:









The price of the photo package seems expensive, but we have been very pleased with the quality of our pictures on both occasions that we purchased it. The memories they captured are priceless, so for us....the cost was worth it.

I stood on some rocks that jut out into the water and got some decent pictures with my camera. You need to check out the area early and then get there early as there aren't many spots on the rocks to take good pics and others will be doing the same. We bought pictures also with a photo package, ours did not come out as nice as Gina's!

My DH also was on the rocks and took pictures. Some were actually really good. We too bought the photo package, as the close up water shots are awesome. One of our favorites is where the dolphin is having a tug of war with my then 70 pound DD. DH did not get those shots. I would try to take pictures from the shore/rocks, but I'd still buy a photo package.

As with the PP. You can try and take some pictures yourself but you can't beat the ones taken by the professionals in the water.
