I saw something about spending time in the aquarium with the dolphins on the discovery channel special last week? Does anyone have details on this like pricing, ages, and how long? I'm interested in maybe doing this depending on the price and requirements. Any help would be appreciated!

me & my fiance did the dolphins in depth tour back in november 2003, it was awesome. there was a coupon in the birnbaums book for 15% off, the cost was like $240 for the 2 of us but it was well worth it. you get a backstage tour of the living seas & learn educational info about the dolphins, then get to participate with the dolphins in the aquarium, even hug them. we were in a small group of 8 & it was in the morning midweek at epcot from like 9am to 12:30ish. very fun experience.

This is indeed an excellent tour worth doing. Just so you are clear as to what to expect and are not disappointed, unlike some other dolphin encounter programs at other locations, the one at Disney is focused on education, conservation and respect for the dolphins. for about 30 min at the end of the tour You do get to get into about 3-4 feet of water and get to have limited interaction with them, as disney is very protective of them. It is NOT a tour where you get to swim or ride on them.
