Very nice! Thanks for the pros & cons from your own humble opinion and perspective. We have stayed at Every WDW resort w/exception of AKL. Many of the other resorts (both Value and Deluxe) have held conventions and housed large rowdy south american Tour groups, family reunions, wedding parties, cheerleaders and sports groups (competing @ WDW), etc. This was in the summer months, and we found these resorts to be crowded and excessively noisy due to the above groups. We prefer the Dolphin/Swan, as the groups are "quiet" in comparison, and after a busy day in the parks--QUIET is a very special treat! The pokey boats are exceptional, comfy and cool in the summer heat. The bus stops and monorails can be crowded at other resorts too, especially in the summer. We have relaxed on the balcony of the Dolphin too (like blondie), and the views "OF THE WORLD" are TOPS out on the far upper EAST WING! Unobstructed, Clear views of illuminations and the Countries are a treasure! The very negative and positive things you described at the Dolphin/Swan...can also be found at every other Disney Property, at various times. There is no "PERFECT" resort @ WDW...but in my OHO, the Dolphin/Swan do a bang-up job of coming pretty close!
