Dolphin Room Question?

My family will be laeving next weekend for a few days at the Dolphin. Have they completed the room reservation yet? I have seen the rooms at the swan and dont want to be dissapointed with the dolphin rooms. Any one knows please fill me in

The Dolphin has not completed the renovations. I believe their completion date is the late spring. I would suggest you ask at check-in for a renovated room. Also, put in a special request now through the S/D website - click on Reservations then click on Special Requests - it allows you to send an e mail. Or call the Dolphin about 3 days before to check-in to ask about being assigned a renovated room.

Thanks for the quick response. I am a techer and got the teacher rate for a standard room. Do you know if many standard rooms have been renovated or what types of rooms have been renovated?

for Xmas/New Years' and had a renovated room on the 7th floor west wing facing the pool area. It was beautiful. The beds were truly "heavenly", the ventilation system whisper quiet, the view to die for, and the service wonderful. We also had the teacher discount and Starwood Gold Card. At checkin I inquired about a complimentary upgrade to a balcony room but only one available was on the 9th floor, smoking, and not renovated. The desk clerk said the room we were already assigned was MUCH better and I was glad I stayed put...

When the housekeeping staff was working in the rooms on our floor in the morning we peeked in and saw that some of the rooms on our floor(7th) were not renovated yet although we never heard any construction type noise.

Hope this helps with your room requests. If you haven't done so already, get a Starwood Card and call to have your number added to your ressie. I think it carries some weight with the room assigner.
