Hi everyone! We are seriously considering booking the "new deal" - $139.00/night at the Dolphin for late October. (The Swan is not available for our dates)

Could someone please advise:

1. Has anyone stayed recently in a renovated room ( I need a standard or waterview since they are evidenty upgrading you automatically by one category)

2. If so, WHAT WAS YOUR ROOM # and how was your view and walk to elevator/bus/pool

3. What was the average wait for the boat to Epcot/MGM

Any help (and/or pictures) would be greatly appreciated as we have never even set foot on this propery before. The pictures look beautiful, but I think my husband will take some convincing so I need all the advanced information I can get!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!:D

We stayed at the Dolphin a month ago. We did not stay in a renovated room, but they were renovating rooms near us and we were in room 5209, I believe. They should be done with the 5th floor by the time you are there. We had a "resort view" which was an upgrade from a "limited view." We did not have a balcony, but you may be able to get that with your upgrade. We could see the little lake, the Boardwalk and Tower of Terror at MGM from our window. I thought the view was very nice. We were about a 2 minute walk from the elevator. You just went down two hallways. There are a lot of rooms much closer to the elevator. The Dolphin has 3 sets of elevators: one set for the West Wing, one set for the Central Wing and one set for the East wing. Once you got off the elevator in the lobby, you only had a 1-2 minute walk to the bus.

We were a little far from the pool, as we were on the East Wing. The West Wing is closer to the pool, as well as to Tubbi's cafeteria. We were a little closer to the boat launch though. The wait for the boat to Epcot/MGM is only 3 to 5 min. We actually were able to catch the boat a couple of times as it was pulling up to the dock. We walked to Epcot one morning, which is nice if you early enough and you don't mind walking.
