Same resort but which one should I stay at with 2 kids? Any preference? I get the Gov't rate which is unbeatable and it's a great resort. I 'm not sure if it matters or not which one to stay at.

I have stayed at both the Swan and the Dolphin, and I like them both. The Dolphin would probably be a bit more convienent because the buffeteria is there for a quick breakfast in the morning. There aren't many quick dining options right in the Swan resort, so that might help make your decision.

IMHO...it all depends on the age of your children. The Dolphin is much more "whimsical" in the overall theming (especially the lobby). The Swan is more understated and subdued. It has always been a favorite of "couples" traveling together "sans" the kiddies. The Dolphin has much more room to explore...the laundry is there, kid's club (if you desire a night out alone), etc. If your children are under the age of 16, I would opt for the Dolphin. :goodvibes

Def. the Dolphin with little kids strictly due to the convenience of the buffeteria. We stayed at Swan and it was wonderful except for the somewhat long walk (and even longer with little kids) just to get a drink with the drink mugs! Both are wonderful hotels but the convenience of the buffeteria is a def plus for the Dolphin.

I've never stayed at the Dolphin but I prefer the Swan because it's smaller and much more intimate. The Dolphin is very active becaUse of all the restaurants and shops which I love but I prefer to just walk over to enjoy their amenities. Those on conventions seem to prefer the Dolphin as well.

Thanks for the tip everybody. My kids are 5 & 8 so it sounds like the Dolphin may be the better choice due to the reasons all of you stated.

With kids that are 5 and 8 then yes, the Dolphin will be better for you because their arcade is bigger and all the food courts are at the Dolphin.

I agree with everyone who recommend the Dolphin with kids your age. Have a great time!

We've stayed at both MANY times. WE actually prefer the Swan as it is smaller than the Dolphin and easier to navigate. My 7 yr old dd also likes the Swan better for that same reason.

That being said, I definitely agree that there are more "conveniences" at the Dolphin. So, it's just the matter of what is more important to you.

If you need to do laundry or have access to Tubbi's on a regular basis then I would suggest the Dolphin. If you prefer a more intimate feeling then I'd recommend the Swan.

I don't agree with the Swan being a "couples" hotel as we see many children staying here. It is quieter and quite frankly I prefer that especially when we come back from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

You can't go wrong with either, they're both great!! ;) ENJOY!!

I totally agree with that. During our stays there have been many children. The Swan is definitely more easy to navigate.
