Dolphin or Disney owned resort?

My husband has a conference at the Dolphin in Oct. The free dining plan is not available at the Dolphin. Is there a Disney resort within walking distance? We are 2 adults and 2 nine year olds. I can't decide if I should book the ease of Dolphin for the conference or a Disney owned resort for free dining. Thanks in advance, all reccomendations and advise are welcomed.

5 of them, actually - Yacht Club, Beach Club, Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Inn, Boardwalk Villas

The Boardwalk properties are the closest to the Dolphin. To get from the Yacht or Beach Club you would have a longer walk or need to take the boat.

check your dates under the FD promotion for BC, YC, and BWI and see if there is anything available. If not stay at Swan or Dolphin unless you want to PAY big bucks to stay at the other resorts without a discount.

Depends where you are at each of the resorts ... All of them are about a 5-10 minute walk. The far end of the Boardwalk is probably further from the Dolphin than the close end of the Yacht Club.

If you look at Google Maps (search for "Walt Disney World Dolphin"), you'll be able to better judge the distances.
