Hi, $105 per person by booking Disney.
Is it more cost effective to book locally?
Thanks.
Roy.

We want to do this in Cozumel and I requested info from the place that does the Dolphin Encounter and this was their response (I just copied and pasted it)

Thank you for contacting Dolphin Discovery.

Please advise the exact date of your cruise, so that I can check if we have any availability - our allocation for sale through the Internet department is very limited on Wednesdays, due to the volume of visitors from the various cruise ships that dock in Cozumel on that day.

If available, the regular Encounter time is at 2.30pm. The program lasts 45 minutes, (check in 30 minutes prior to program) and 45 minutes should be allowed after the program has finished, should you wish to view the photos and video that will be taken.

The program costs US$75.00 per adult, and US$70.00 per child. There is an additional charge of US$10.00 per person entrance fee to the park (children below age 7 enter free of charge).

To get to us, you would take a taxi from the dockside to the park (about 15 minutes), which would cost approximately US$10.00 each way (up to four people).

Best regards,

Marian Davies

Hope that helped Roy....

Saving about 17 bucks per head.
Or do I take the Disney option and the magic with me?
A difficult one.
Thanks

I saw on the internet there are two options, 1 the dolphin encounter and the 2nd swim w/the dolphins there will be 5 in my party says the max is 8. Has anyone done this ? It is quite a bit more expensive so I am wondering if it is worth it?????:smooth:

DH and I did the Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel thru Disney and it was, without question, great! It was the most complete and professional excursion we experienced during the cruise. Definitely worth the money.

The excursion personnel came onboard the ship and escorted us to the taxis. They made sure we were all safely on our way. Someone from their staff was waiting for us as we arrivied at the park. They made sure we knew what to do when we wanted to go back to the ship, then they explained everything about the actual encounter and the park. We were broken down into smaller groups for the encounter, which was wonderful.

Everything went very well and we had a terrific time. I'd highly recommend booking it. All the details are handled for you, so you can just relax and have fun. But be sure you book early as I've heard it gets filled very quickly.
