Dolphin Exam pictures

I am the girl on the right of the dolphin the purple short wetsuit. We were doing a medical exam on Ginger who is a bottlenose dolphin. Since they happen to study the population of dolphins in the bay where she lives, they know she is 3 yrs old and can trace her family back to her grandmother!

It really depends on the animal. Ginger hates humans and fights ALOT!! Other animals have been really cooperative. It's all challenging but I LOVE it. Especially when a dolphin gets well and is able to be released back into the wild. Ginger is doing well and they expect to release her fairly soon! It's always bittersweet saying goodbye.
