Has anyone booked this excursoin by themselves right through the company? How did you get there and what were the costs of getting there? Do you really save anything doing it yourself? What time should I book it for? I think I get some of it, you get off the ship and get yourself to Pleasure Island to the dock that the boat is to take you to the Blue Lagoon. Can we walk to the dock on Pleasure Island? Is this excursion worth it? Do you have any advice for this excursion, I have a family of six if this makes a difference with a three year old to boot. Can we do anything else after this like going over to see the Atlantis and go shopping at the Straw Market? Can we stay for a little while on the Blue Lagoon after the encounter or not? I think the prices went from $75 to $85.00 for the encounter, is it still worth it? I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm gettting a little nervous because I never went on a cruise before.

The web site above will answer many of your questions. My 8-year-old granddaughter and I did the encounter in May. Prices have gone up since then (Surprise!!) It was well worth it for us … educational and fun.

I called them and booked direct. I think I saved about $50.00 by doing it that way. A stretch limo from the straw market to the dock was $10.00 for the two of us.

I would not recommend it for ages much less than 7 or 8. You stand on a ledge in about three feet of water. The dolphins are very large (for a small child) and might be intimidating.
