We are still undecided about a stay at the Swan or the Dolphin. My husband is leaning towards the Swan because of the queen size beds, but I am leaning towards the Dolphin because I think the atmosphere would be better for our 12 and 16 yr. old.

I had read somewhere that the beds at the Dolphin were actually "over-sized" doubles and only 1" smaller than a queen. Can anyone clarify?

Thank you!

We stayed in the Dolphin 1/02 and at that time the beds felt like doubles, no where near queens. However, the room we were in could have been renovated with new beds since then. I can't speak to the atmosphere of the swan, but they share the same pool which is awesome, and the same transportation dock so I would go with the swan over the dolphin for the beds.

We stayed at the Dolphin, too. I have read the same thing that the doubles are only slightly smaller than the queens. I must say that we have a king at home so sleeping in a double takes some adjustment. However, we are so tired at night we fall right to sleep. Our 2 DS (19, 17) couldn't share a double, so one chose to camp on the floor by making a bed with comforter and extra blanket. Our biggest problem was DH snoring!!! :p ;)
