Has anyone heard of The Dolphin Cove Resort? I think that's the name. I know its a timeshare near Disneyland. I am planning to go to California in a couple of years. I own a timeshare and was thinking of trying to trade it for this resort.
I plan on spending at least two weeks in California, so I am not sure if I would rather try to stay at a Disney hotel and then use my timeshare week somewhere else during my travels.

I've stayed there. It looked a bit run down from the outside and I was a tad bit disappointed, but the units were big and clean. It was very close to Disney ( a few blocks). I don't really remember a whole lot about the place because the trip was sort of bittersweet. It was to take my mother to Disneyland for the last time before she passed away. There are a lot of very nice, inexpensive places to stay that are a little more convenient to DL. I would probably bank my week and use it for somewhere where I'd really be saving in hotel costs. Good Luck!

I own with HGVC and was told Dolphin Cove was not up to HGVC standards (and they STRONGLY discouraged me from using my points to stay there). They did not give me any specific details as to how it was lacking....

We stayed there last year. It's an old apartment complex about 5-6 blocks from DL that they've converted into timeshare condos. The units were well maintained inside, from what I could tell, but I wasn't overly impressed with the grounds or the laundry facilities. But then again, I wasn't there for those things, I was there for Disney and Legoland. It worked out great for our family and I definitely have fond memories of the trip.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We own a timeshare in Orlando and usually go there, but we exchanged into this one. It's evidently in such demand that you can only exchange into it every 4 years though our condo exchange club.
