Have any of you used the Dolphin Club for Kids during your stay at the WDW while rooming at the Dolphin? How does it compare to the other Epcot Babysitting Kid's Club, the Sandcastle, I think it is called, in your experience?

I would like the answer to this also!
:D

If you are eating at Shulas you can get 2 hrs free at the Dolphin Club. A very nice perk!

Muffy,

Did you have any children or know of any children who participated in the babysitting program at the dolphin? I'd like to hear how the sandcastle compares to the dolphin club. And, apparently, I'm not alone in that interest.

Sorry but I haven't used the Dolphin Club. I just wanted to pass on the info about Shulas.

We used the Dolphin kids club last Oct so we could go to F & W Fest for a few hours alone. Our girls ages 4 and 7 just loved it. We dropped them off around 6, they gave us a beeper in case of emergency, and off we went. When we returned at 9, they were happily playing video games in the arcade. They were actually kind of disappointed that we were there. It looked like they had plenty of activities to keep the kids busy and dinner was included in the price

I can't comment on the Sandcastle club, but I would think all the clubs are quite nice. We plan on using the WL club this year. It's some of the best money we spent on our trip! :teeth:

Muffy and Wiscmomof2,

Thank you. Between both of your comments, I surmise that the Sandcastle Club, which I also heard has arcade games, etc, and the Dolphin Club are both equally as fun. Having our daughter at our hotel makes the easiest logistics, I think. I'm not too sure we'll do Shula's. It's more pricey, if my novice recollection is correct, than the Steakhouse on the WDW Broadwalk resort-- I think it was the Yacht Club's Steakhouse.

My DD has done both and she loved both of them. She does prefer Camp Dolphin though. It is smaller but they leave the club to go down the hall to the arcade and to eat at the Fountain. That may have made it more interesting for her. ;)

As WiscMomof2 mentioned, my DD also was disappointed when I came to pick her up. She wanted to stay longer.:D She had done a craft, gone to dinner and the arcade and was settled down watching a video. She wanted to go every single night of our stay at the Dolphin!!! More so than going to a park!

I have found all of the kids clubs to be great.

KelliR,

How old was your daughter when she wanted to do the Dolphin Club and preferred it over going out at night to the parks?

Did you take advantage of it and have some more nights to yourself?

How far in advance of your nights' out did you make arrangements with the Dolphin Club? When were you there, anyway? I hear the timing and season often effect such aspects of the planning.

Thanks for your response.

We were there last month, June 16-19. My DD is 5...she'll be 6 in August. I took her there 2 nights, but I really wanted to spend the last night together.

Other times I have made reservations, but this last time I just took her down to the club around 5:00 - 5:30. The 2nd night it was almost full. The first night I just lounged around the hotel and went to Kimonos for dinner. The 2nd night I went to EPCOT. Boy, could I move a lot faster by myself!!!:D

Hope this info helps!

KelliR,

boy your report sure did help. my daughter will be 5 years old when we go.

how far in advance did you make reservations? Is June off-peak? April is a more crowded time, but not as bad as some peak times. I wonder how far in advance I will need to make reservations for her to stay at the Dolphin Club.
