Just back from the May 18th 7-day cruise and we stayed at the Dolphin for one night before the cruise. We enjoyed our stay because we were at WDW and very happy to be on vacation! But I can understand why this place gets bad reviews. The design is really interesting and I loved the canopy rotunda in the center of the lobby. The location is GREAT. It was fun taking the little ferry over to Yacht Beach clubs and the Boardwalk. The best was the view from our room. We did not have a balcony, but we still enjoyed the view of Epcot very much. We watched the fireworks from our room and thought it was great. We were on the 10th floor, East Wing. A couple of bad things: some of the decor is down right TACKY. Some places were shabby and in disrepair. The furniture in the rooms is cheap looking. They aren't very speedy at picking up the dirty room service trays in the halls, either. We saw two of them stay there all day long. I think it's fine for one night, but I doubt we will ever stay there again. And I would NEVER pay rack rate to stay there. The staff was very nice. Just go with a good attitude and you will have a great time.
