I am planning a last minute trip for me and my daughter from May 6-9th. We can get the Dolphin for $189 or the BC or BWI for $234. I can't decide which to book. Any thoughts? I have stayed at BC and loved it. The BWI looks great to me except I am not wild about the fact that you have to go out on the Boardwalk to get food-what if it is raining!! I don't know anything at all about the Dolphin. I do think I could upgrade to conceirge with Starwood points. Help!

The Dolphin/BC/BW are all in the same vicinity, so location really isn't an issue.

For the price you've been quoted, I'd go with the Dolphin! There are several threads here with FAQ's for your reading pleasure.

As you can see from my signature, we are huge Dolphin Resort fans! We think the amenities, theming, location, pool, and dining options are one of the best kept secrets on Disney property.

Let us know what you decide! :flower:

I vote Dolphin, too. We love it there, and if you have Starwood points it's even better. Maybe you can get a room with a balcony or view of Epcot fireworks. The rooms are very nice, and we love the heavenly beds!

Dolphin, especially for the price you posted! The BWI and BC/YC are also very nice (I've stayed at all three), but these will ALWAYS be @ WDW for a future visit. Save the extra $$ for some FUN, and book the Dolphin asap. You will NOT be disappointed, and can definitely upgrade using SPG points. :wizard: To find out more about the Dolphin, please visit their beautiful website www.swandolphin.com and peruse all the info/photos, etc.

This resort is fully contained, with a multitude of restaurants (including some of Orlando's finest). :goodvibes The rooms have been recently renovated, and upgraded, including the implementation of the incredible HEAVENLY BEDS! Even the SHOWERS are fabulous, (I even ordered the shower system for our guest bath after our last visit). :flower:

We have had the opportunity to stay at every WDW resort w/exception of the values and AKL. We STILL prefer the DOLPHIN over every other WDW resort, for numerous reasons. I believe some of the main factors would be SERVICE/STAFF, LATE CHECK-OUT (4pm), 24-hour POOL, FAB ROOM SERVICE, TOP CONCIERGE STAFF, SHERATON SERVICE PROMISE, HEAVENLY BEDS/SHOWERS, :cloud9: HIGH-SPEED INTERNET & WiFi HOP SPOTS, RESTAURANTS, phenomenal ELEVATORS, OATMEAL SOAP, BREATHTAKING ARCHITECTURE/VIEWS, etc. There are many more reasons behind our loyalty, but you get the picture. :confused3 What's NOT to like about this resort? Our second fav resort would be the Contemporary.

Hope you select this resort, and have a MAGICAL visit!! :wave2:

Don't forget to factor in the $10/day resort fee and $7/day for self parking or $14/day for valet, too.

The Dolphin is great but also don't forget the Swan which is just across the way if you prefer a little more quiet.

I love BC and the BW; however, the Dolphin is such a great hotel and for the price, you just can't go wrong! :flower:

I vote for BWI. Great resort, the best location, and a great pool for the little ones.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I appreciate the great information! I didn't list the Swan because it is not available!

I differ from the crowd. I say go to BC or BWI. Both have wonderful pools!!

The Dolphin's "3~Acre" Grotto pool isn't too shabby either! :confused3 Plus, they have the only official "LAP" pool on all of Disney property, (just outside the current fitness center). The Dolphin BEACH is fun to play on, volleyball, sand castles...or just relaxing...

The POOL and WATERFALL are astounding!

This is one of my favorite photos of this resort...

The beautiful lobby...as you enter be sure to LOOK UP and watch the "shooting stars" as they streak across the sky (ceiling)!

Everything can be clearly seen in this beautiful aerial photo...grotto pool in the upper left of the picture...

ENJOY!!!

I've stayed at all three since last summer and each of them have good things going for them...

BC: It's the closest to epcot and SAB is so much fun! I heard that you can now re-fill your mugs in the gift shop which is quite convenient.

BWI: I've gotten amazing fireworks views! Plus it's fun to walk around the boardwalk at night. It's the closest walk to MGM.

Dolphin: The grotto pool is fun and you never have to worry about finding a lounge chair. There is also a restaurant that's open 24hrs (which is great for me because I always get hungry at odd hours). You can often get room upgrades here.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices. It just depends on what you're looking for in a resort :)
