What is the transpo to the parks like at the Dolphin and Swan? I thought about the Wilderness, but have heard some bad things abouth the transpo there. I think it would be nice to be so close to Boardwalk, Epcot and DS.What is the difference between the two?

From the Swan or Dolphin, it's a 5-10 min boat ride to DS and a 15-20 min boat ride to the International Gateway(between England and Frand) entrance to Epcot. Everywhere else is a bus ride. Last time we stayed at the Dolphin, it wasn't bad at all. In fact, we liked it it so much, we are heading back. Good luck to you. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Does Swan/Dolphin have complimentary airport transfer?

You are going to hear "bad things" about the transportation from any resort. I wouldn't let that sway you.

S/D does not offer the ME service.

The difference between the Swan and the Dolphin is that the Swan is smaller while the Dolphin is, in my opinion, huge. Also in my opinion, the Dolphin is more high class than the Swan. The laundry for both is in the Dolphin. The Dolphin also has more food choices. Both have a "quiet" pool and they share the Grotto pool, which is in my opinion, the second best pool on Disney property after Stormalong Bay. The Grotto pool is in the middle of the two resorts so walking distance from each is the same.

I've stayed at the Swan several times. I've visited the Dolphin. I don't think I would stay at the Dolphin - too big and too hoity-toity for us.

The Swan is much smaller/quieter than the Dolphin. The Swan has two sinks while the Dolphin has one. Busses usually pick up at the Swan first. Covered walkway between them (only a minute or two walk).

:rotfl2: That cracks me up. We love the Dolphin and I'm the least hoity toity person I know. ;)

It's funny how different people have different perceptions. Because the Swan is quieter with less hustle and bustle, I've always felt it was the "fancier" of the two.

That is funny. I think the deal was sealed when my husband had to hunt out the gift shop in the Dolphin to try and find a newspaper. That and the last time we wlked into the Dolphin, the first menu my husband saw was for Todd's BlueZoo. And on that same stop, he saw the menu for Shula's. He was hightailing out to the ESPN Club after that!

LOL! I can imagine the look on his face...the less expensive dining at the Dolphin is on the bottom floor.....just FYI. ;)

I think the Swan is much quieter hence more serene than the Dolphin, there also seems to be alot more convention traffic at the Dolphin BUT (and I know this sounds silly) I prefer the Dolphin just because I like the lobby better, LOL! The Swan is also smaller so there's a shorter walk to your room once you're at your resort....and still I prefer the Dolphin, LOL! I know, I know....makes absolutely no sense, but hey, that's just me. :rotfl:
