Dolphin, AKL or WL?

I have an AP and can get some decent rates for AKL or WL but I currently have booked a Dolphin stay using some of my SPG points for 2 of the nights for free.

I love, love, the Epcot resort area. We are doing BWV in December and BCV in March. Walking to 15 of the 21 best restaurants is important to me and my DH won't be with me. Not to mention that WS is my favorite part of Epcot a TON of happy memories there. This is just my DD's and I for a quick January trip for a sporting event.

However, it would be nice to have a balcony and I've never stayed at the other two resorts.

Any comments? Something I'm not thinking about?

You know, we tried the WL for part of our stay last spring--we usually stay at the Dolphin. I was SO happy to get back to the Dolphin when it was time to move.

I did enjoy the WL but I really missed being so close to Epcot and WS. I don't think we'll stay away from the Epcot area again.

Well I'm so excited!!! After reading my post, I knew I didn't want to leave the Epcot area, I decided to see how much it would be to get a balcony. I remember the difference per night was somewhere around $150 a night but maybe I would splurge for a couple of nights that I knew we wanted to be in bed early.

As it turns out it is very "cheap" to upgrade using points! The Starwood's Preferred Guest program SPG only requires 1,500 points to upgrade to balcony. I was able to do that PLUS add a third night! What I'm so excited about is their 5th night free! If I can get enough points to add a fourth night the fifth will be free!!!!

Poor me, I'm going to have to put that AMEX card to hard work!
