Dolphin Air Conditioning ?

Does anyone know if the Dolphin has this new air conditioning system that shuts off if there is no movement in the room?

We were there in Feb. and noticed that if we locked the deadbolt on the door the a/c worked, but if the deadbolt was left unlocked the unit would stay off. We learned the uncomfortable way the first night.
