We've just about decided to spend Christmas week in the Pigeon Forge area and are considering getting season passes (one Gold to get discounts and free parking). On the order page there is a box for promo codes. I've googled but haven't found anything. Does anybody know of one? Any other suggestions for discounts? Thanks!

We used to get AP to Dollywood every year. We haven't the past several years. I have never seen a discount code and was always on the look out for one. I did always get one gold card to get discounts on food and merchandise as well as free parking. It definitely worth the extra money if you go several times.

Dollywood at Christmas is so pretty. Make some time for the shows, they are great.

We went a few years ago and didn't allow nearly enough time, but we really enjoyed the shows that we did get to see. If I remember correctly, if you buy the AP at Christmastime, it carries over for the whole next year. I hope that's the case this time too. I don't know whether we'll go back again in the next year, but it would be nice to have if we decide to go back. :goodvibes

we will be in the area this weekend and their Christmas "season" starts this week, so we will go Sunday since they aren't open Mondays for rest of year. I was looking for discounts for one time tix too but don't see anything. I know we won't have enough time for it all but am really banking on not many folks there since it is just coming off fall stuff.
We shall see.

One of the problems that we encountered was that they didn't open until the afternoon when we were there (seems like 3 or 4). That was before Christmas. This time, we'll be there just through Christmas. It looks like they'll open at 9 so that should help a lot, but the crowds will also be worse.

I grew up and lived very near there for 35 years and have never seen a discount on passes. Occasionally in the summer there will be discounts on Coke cans in the area for daily tickets, but that's about it.. The only "deal" I remember getting on our yearly passes was 1 year if you bought your pass during the fall, you would get the rest of the year plus the whole next year. Their passes are not 365 days, it's season by season March-December. If you're going to visit more than 1 day, you may as well get the season pass. If you've never been there, 1 day will not be enough.

I thnk we're going to go with the season pass. November 9th the new 2014 one will be available. It will actually be good starting then and go through January something, 2015. That will work well for us since we're considering going back next year too. If we don't, we won't lose financially since I know we'll go more than one day while we're there. :)
