Has anybody been to this?

If so, Do you recommend it? or Is it best to totally forget it?

Through Virgin Holidays we can get the tickets cheap and in either of the front two rows of the arena.

My wife and I are going to the Pirates Diner, but are considering adding this to our agenda - but, would not be too pleased if it's not exactly all that great and a waste of time or effort.

yeah, its great fun, and great food. WAY better than the Pirates one..
it would be that one that I wouldnt bother with...

We did this in South Carolina...it was great! The prices were very much of the Disney type....a family of 4 really adds up. But, the food was wonderful and the entertainment was great. Really a lot of fun. BTW, there are not utensils...you eat everything with your hands but everything is prepared to that this is possible. The potato soup was in a mug...very good. My favorite was the apple turnover! We walked around after the show to view the horses in the stable which was likely my DS favorite part.

We enjoyed it a lot, and the food is better than any of the other dinner shows. The pre show in the carriage room is a bit lame, but the main show is very good.

it may also be worth remembering that a tip is expected at the dinner shows and is not included in the ticket price.

Dolly's is a must-do!! Simple as that. Don't agree that the pre-show is lame though, we really enjoyed the whole thing last year and are doing it again in October! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info - I shall try to add that to our already busy schedule.

My missus is a massive Dolly fan and I wasn't the most enthusiastic at going, having to put up with Dolly nine to five (!), but I really enjoyed the whole show, from the cheesy Americanisms, to the wonderful food and the entertaining show, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

It's a little cheesy and they do use every opportunity possible to make a few extra dollars from you in the form on souvenir photo's, drinks mugs etc but having said that the food is good and it's a very entertaining evening. We had a really good time :)
