Do I have to stop at the booth in the garage first or pick my car and just go?

what is lock low and go? Best way to find out, call Dollar and ask.

Lock Low and Go is considered a vehicle class rather than something that allows you to bypass the counter like a frequent renters club.

With Lock Low and Go you book at a compact rate but can get any vehicle compact or up depending on what Dollar have in excess inventory that day. It does not have anything to do with skipping the counter.

The name is misleading, it does sound like you should be able to just "go".

If you are a member of Dollar's club- I don't remember its name- you just go to the garage. We had a lock, low and go rate in August. And are members of the club. We walked straight out to the garage and went to their booth. They checked my credit card, asked me if I wanted a Ford or Chevy, and gave me the key. Great rate and very simple.
