What great deals have you gotten on things for your trip? Any unique items?
We like to buy small trinkets to keep the kids happy for the way down and cut down on purchases there. I also like the organization type stuff. We have bought a pop up laundry hamper. Has anyone seen a shoe or sweater type organizer there?
Thanks
Lori

I got ds a few Cars pens and little notepads. He got to open them on the plane and used them throughout the trip.

I also bought a cheapy collapsible curtain rod and shower curtain with rings to curtain off the vanity area in our room at Pop Century. It allowed us to get ready quicker in the morning.

I also found a small (like 4x6) coated pocket file. It was the perfect size for the index cards I use to list daily park hours, adr #s, flight info, etc...) It had an elastic cord around it so nothing would fall out. I ended up throwing it in the park bag once we got to disney and used it every day.

I bring ponchos from Dollar Tree. We have WDW ones but they're a pain to pack for "What if?" So the disposable ones are great. They take up very little room and can fit in a pocket if you don't want to carry much.

I've also found the "liquid baby powder" for lack of a better term is good to help prevent chafing. Body Glide is my #1 choice but this works for a few hours or if it's not very hot.

I have seen the shoe organizers there, but they are very junky and flimsy. I purchase a heavy duty clear one at Target for $7 or $8. It has worked for 1 disney and 2 beach vacations, so far, and it looks as good as new.

We found disney figurines, disney coloring books, disney crayons, small disney puzzles, and disney sticker/stamper kits at Dollar Tree. Great for the plane ride and waiting in the airport. Also, the glow stick necklaces for evenings at the parks.

I have found a fat princess pen. It is pink and on the top has a crown. Great for the characters to use. We used it on our last trip and will do so again.

When we go I get different gifts for DD 6 from her favorite princess. Last year was Sleeping Beauty so I found a cute pink pillow from there that said Princess on it. Included in the gifts from S.B. that I found at Dollar Tree was a princess yo yo, some small figurines, a princess headband, princess lip gloss and some pink shades.

She loved it. I put it all in the room with a note from S.B. saying she cannot wait to see her while DH took her to the pool. I found additional items at Target to add to the gift package.

I also get the ponchos, clothes pins, glow sticks, collapsible shoe organizer and a laundry bag.

LOL sorry, but when I read this I picutred a fat princess on a pen. Kinda made me chuckle a bit.

I was in our "Mighty Dollar" store yesterday. I am not sure if they are a national chain, or just around here.:confused3 But, they had (EK Sucess brand) Disney scrapbooking 3D sticker sets, and Mickey Mouse and Princesses 8x8 scrapbook page kits (6 pages each) for $1 each. I grabbed several for our upcoming trip.
Out of curiosity, I stopped in at the Hobby Lobby a few blocks away, and they had the EXACT same stuff for $5-$10 each.:scared1:
You gotta love the $1 stores.:lovestruc
I have also gotten rain ponchos, light sticks, and glow necklaces, for our trip!
