i typically go to the dollar tree for cards and gift bags. Also some snacks, occasionally toothpaste, things like that. My husband went recently and came home with a box of 6 frozen soft pretzels which are pretty good. Also he bought some ribeye steaks. Yes, ribeyes! They were sliced very thin and about 3 oz each, so about $5 a lb. they weren't bad. They even looked pretty decent before cooking. He fried some as suggested on the package and grilled some. This is not gourmet food but not bad for a buck.

I found lots of name brand cold medicine, as well as Dramamine and even name brand probiotics. I bought 12 bottles of culturelle for the upcoming cold and flu season..the same bottle is $10.99 at Walmart.

I once read a recommendation from someone else here for the DollarTree frozen Pot Stickers. So I tried them - they aren't the best I've ever had, but they are fine for a quick dinner at home of homemade fried rice and potstickers!

And if you can find them (it's hard-they sell out fast!), the candies that are clones of the Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate candies I actually like better than the Brookside ones! DD16 agrees - there is more of the gummy center and we both like that.

But the one thing I have learned is to check the expiration dates on all stuff at DollarTree, esp. the name brand food - they are often close to expiring, or are past expiration. I know many things can still be eaten past their expiration dates, but my household is small so we don't go through many things quickly, and that sort of stuff just often goes bad for us before we finish it.

i love Dollar Tree - the DH likes their tortillia chips

They usually have a good assortment of random disney stuff - i have got bandaid brand bandaids, ziplock bags, etc... for trips

they also have those HUGE pens for autographs that the characters like -but they don't seem to have must ink life in them

I bought a package of gnocchi a couple weeks ago that was a great base for dinner (and a savings over the $2.50 grocery store price)! I also saw they had adult coloring books now. They are less pages than the ones I've seen in regular stores, but for $1 each I bought a couple and a new pack of colored pencils to take along on my next trip.

I have never caught the deal on the meat. I am not picky if I could. But I do love the store for the foil pans. Sure cheaper than other stores for that. So many good picks for the dollar tree.

I got lucky yesterday at Dollar Tree. The delivery guy was there and he gave me 2 loaves of bread. One wheat one white free. Bonus!
Have no idea why I got them. Someone behind me asked for a loaf and he said sorry no.
I went in for hydrogen peroxide.

As a PP mentioned, LOVE the Dollar Tree for tin pans. I end up buying sooooo many around the holiday season and for dips during football Sundays. Also love their Reynolds brand foil wraps; these are precut 12 in square pieces of foil that are awesome for quickly lining the toaster oven tray.
I have bought those ribbon-style hair ties (normally at least $3 for a set of 6 at CVS, so 1/3 the price!), LOTS of holiday decorations, gift wrap, disposable plastic cups, floss sticks, pens....
My boyfriend and I pack Operation Christmas Child boxes every year and the Dollar Tree is great for filling in the gaps with small toiletry items, coloring books, etc.

I'm just going to throw out there that Dollar Tree is the way to go for pregnancy tests!! When we were trying I was crazy and just couldnt help myself but to test a little before they recommend. At $1 a pop I was able to humor myself and not feel like I wasted $5. And they worked great...they gave me my positive a few days early and then I bought one fancy one to double check.

So funny you mention pregnancy tests... when we were trying I started out with the expensive kind. It took a while so it was getting expensive! :o So I started buying the dollar tree ones. When I finally got a positive I told the doctor I wasn't sure if it was accurate because "it was a cheap dollar store one". He told me those are actually the best kind! :rotfl2:

I find lots of good things at the dollar tree. I buy the whipped cream, french fries, graham crackers, crackers and foil wrappers are among my staples. Balloons for occasions and party plates.

I love Dollar Tree and spend lots of dollars there, lol. I am addicted to the little solar flowers and have close to 30 of them in the big window in the lobby of my office at work. My own little flower garden...added the swinging bear, bird and frog too.
Buy tons of the foil pans also for when we have our pot luck dinners at church.
I always head over there before our Disney trip to pick up bath scrunchies & those toothbrushes that come in a holder, used to be 10 in a pack now only five I think but we take the toothbrushes and scrunchies on vacation and then just trash them before heading home.

They have ovulation predictor tests there as well.

For traveling, I always have the stiff, fold-able fabric bins. They are flat in suitcases, but nice to put on the dresser of hotel rooms to collect junk when you want to keep things neat. I usually bring one for each family member that will be with us. They are sold where the laundry stuff is ... hangers, mothballs, closet stuff.

The frozen lemonade stand are the same ones that sell in the park for way more

I agree with a lot of these, pregnancy and ovulation tests, foil pans, cards, balloons, etc. I also like their knock off gold fish crackers, theirs are whales. I like them better than the real goldfish. I also get the oatmeal cream sandwiches, alcohol and peroxide, toothpaste, toothbrushes there. They have some great finds!

Don't forget you can use coupons there too! So if they have a specific brand toothpaste that you've got a coupon for you can use it. Sometimes can get things super cheap or free!

Yes the potstickers are good! I boil them in a box of broth to make wonton soup.

I don't buy a lot there on a regular basis except for frozen blueberries and potstickers. The blueberries are either ten or twelve ounces and the same pack at the grocery store is about $3.
