I got a great rate for a 4 day rental at Dollar, $67, thanks disboards. It was from 330 pm Friday to 930 am Monday. I signed up for Dollar express and called to link my reservation.
We went straight to the garage and my name wasn't on the board. We went to the booth in the garage and after a few minutes we were sent to the midsize aisle to pick any car we wanted. We got a Chevy with 1480 miles on it. Wait to get out of the garage was a bit long, there were 4 cars ahead of us.
On our return I filled up with gas before getting on the toll portion of the 528. When we got to the Dollar return, the clerk sent us to the booth because our rental was not in her little handheld thing. Thought that was odd...I really did rent from Dollar?! Off to the booth we go, immediate service but it took a bit to process the return.
Overall, the process was fairly quick with a few minor glitches. The car was very nice and very new. The price was GREAT!
I got the best price for this rental at the end of August, so about 3 months out. I often checked for a price drop but it only came close, never less.
