dollar stores Disney thread

Hi everyone.

Thought we all might like a new thread to track Disney related items found at dollar stores. Budget Board already has a WalMart Savings Thread and a Target Savings Thread.

Only thing we might want to do is keep it to Disney use items and request the posters note the name of the dollar store where things were found, such as Dollar Tree, Dollar Central, etc.

I'll start it off today. Just got back from:
Dollar Tree

* where I found dress up fairy wings. They measure 14 inches across. Wings come in a sheer fabric Tink green, yellow, blue, and coral so they would match more Disney fairies than just Tink. Even though they have elastic straps for kids to wear on their shoulders, I plan to use them differently.
I am going to use the green tink wings to decorate the resort window using suction cups to hold them on the window.

* also got Disney Fairies wall decorations. They come two in a pack and are made of foam and are brightly stamped in color. There were pkts of Belle in a yellow dress, Cindy in a blue dress, Pooh, and two differently posed Tink ones. They are about 4 1/2 inches tall. I am not going to attach them to a wall. I got two pkts of Tink and am going to place them on the window all around the wings. To do this I will most likely use that dot glue that can be cleaned off the window before I leave.



So now fellow disers, what Disney use items did you see this week at a dollar store??????

My Dollar Tree had Disney Magic Towels (those washcloth-like things that "grow" in water" - I picked up several to make bathtime fun on vacation!

Not a Dollar store but
Michaels arts and crafts here in Mass had a ton of Disney stuff in thier $1 section.
Lets see, there were lanyards, puzzles, books, pens ,stickers notebooks, tattoos, glowsticks and lots of other stuff. I saw princesses, cars and a few tink items.
Really cute stuff!

Check the Target Dollar Spot.

I found little activity books. The center has two pages of stickers and the other pages include things like word finds, mazes, jumbles, which picture is different, etc. They're a nice size and come in each of four designs featuring different princesses. ($1)

They also have the "grow" washcloths, but I didn't get those, so I can't speak to the quality.

Oh - and I found more Disney and Pixar themed socks. The little guy has several now - Woody, Buzz, Incredibles, etc. There are also Pirates of the Caribbean, Pooh, baby minnie and baby mickey, etc. All $1 per pair.

In the past I have also found Pixar themed items. We got notecards, notebooks, change-the-color-tip pencils, stickers, tattoos, ice packs, etc. All Incredibles, Toy Story, & Monsters.

Dollar Tree had Several Disney Items:
Pencils,Pens, Stampers, Stickers, Window Clings, Coloring Books, Word Search, Puzzles, are a few things that I remember seeing.

Word of caution - I got the Pooh and friends crayons for my DD and they are awful! They don't color well at all!

I did get a couple of coloring/activity books, and glowsticks for the trip!

Ours, too (at Dollar Tree)-- they also had swim goggles. I also found disney spinning tops (2 for a dollar), and parachuting characters.

Found this at local Dollar Tree:

a large hard plastic bow that is Minnie red in color with white polka dots. Its sold as a bow tie and has elastic on the back. But its too large for a real bowtie and not really that shape.

Did not get it because I'm not sure how I'd use it. But it could be a Minnie bow for sure. It was in the toy section where they had plastic soldiers and those Groucho Marx looking fake eyeglasses with mustaches. So its sort of a dress up item.

Maybe could cut off the elastic cord and use it as a cake top decoration???

Yesterday at the Dollar Tree in Rhode Island, I found small shovel and pail sets (princess, Cars, Pooh, maybe more) and bubbles in the same theme/characters.

I am still looking for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse window clings. I have visited 4 different Dollar Trees in our area with no luck.

We actually got some of the grow in water wash cloths to take on our Disney Cruise. They are cute for maybe a one or two time use. Not real washcloth quality. But if you have a toddler who atracts sticky stuff, you could toss it in a ziplock sandwich bag in your purse. The when you need it, open and run water over it. Wipe off the melted Mickey bar drips (LOL), squeeze out and pop back in the ziplock.

We have the washcothes and have been using them over several years in the kids bathroom. They are not thick was cloth quality, but the thinner ones. Which is what the kids like, so that works for them. We have 2 Mickey Mouse, 1 Cindy, and a few dinosaurs, the dinos are the oldest, but are still in great shape after more than 3 years.

Oh, forgot to add, Target dollar section has princess jewlery, princess and Cars crayons (these are no good), dry erase boards, stickers, oh, princess hair things..


Dollar tree, puzzels, sm hard character figurines (would be great for cakes), stamps, pensils (a lot of school supplies really), lots of books, both coloring and those ones that arfe used for different grade levels, playing cards, pool toys, etc. I haven't been in a while, but I bet there are even more goodies to be had.
