Dollar stores and ironing boards?

I have two totally unrelated questions. One...does anyone know if there is a good dollar store close to the BCVs? When we go down in November, I'd like to hit the dollar store for all of our non perishable items like dish soap, shampoos, laundry items...etc. A lot of times, you can find smaller sizes there.

Also, do the 2 br units have ironing boards? I'm assuming they do.

Can not help with a Dollar store, but all DVC units have ironing boards and irons.

Disney does supply dish soap....at least they did in the studios. My suggestion is to buy that stuff at home...go to your local big chain drug store for the travel size shampoos. Then buy the tablet laundry and dishwasher detergents. Store what you think you will need to take in ziplock bags and you are done!

WE never take along Dishwasher soap, since DVC supplies this along with dish liquid. We DO take laundry soap though.

Iron and ironing board, vacumn cleaner, and anything else you need is right there.

Dish soap is supplied by DVC. For laundry, I take the tablets. Do try them out at home on a few loads to make sure no one in the family is allergic to them. I remember another poster a while ago saying that she hadn't tried them out beforehand, and one of her family broke out in a rash from the tabs.

There is a Publix and a Winn Dixie not far from WDW...much cheaper than Goodings...more like a regular "at home" grocery store.

The Publix in on SR 192. The Winn Dixie is just down the road from Goodings. Go to the WDW gate that brings you out right across from Crossroads mall(where Goodings is..it's the gate near DD). Instead of going stright across to Goodings, take a left and go about 5-10 minutes down the road...Winn Dixie will be on the right.
