Dollar Silver Dollar Club

Can anyone tell me if the Dollar Car Rental "Silver Dollar" Club requires any kind of a card from them at the time of rental? I'm planning an extended family trip for XMAS and am in charge of the plans. I registered my Dad online for this club, and had the email sent to me, but it only asked for his name, and nothing else. I was able to make a reservation in his name and get a 5% discount.

I also needed to make a reservation for my Mother, and just went though the Silver Dollar Club link and reserved in her name and also got the 5% discount, but didn't actually register her online. Will this be OK, or do I actually need to register her?

I would assume the requirements for this program are outlined on the Dollar site.

I couldn't find any details on Dollar's site. Has anyone actually used a reservation made through the Silver Dollar Club? If so, were you asked for anything at the time of picking up the car? It doesn't appear to be a program where you actually get a membership card or anything, but I just couldn't tell for sure.

I made a mock reservation once, and I was iniformed I had to show my license (proof of age).

I signed up for the Silver Dollar Club back in January and did not get a membership card - only the email. I sincerely doubt that there is one. As long as I can prove that I am over 50 and my drivers' license will do that, LOL, I'm sure nothing else will be required. FWIW, the KISS3 code returns almost the exact same rate as does the Silver Dollar CLub code. I went with SDC because of the free additional driver.

Just called Dollar - the agent said that I should take a printed copy of the Silver Dollar "welcome" email with me so that I don't get "stuck" paying the extra driver fee. She also said that the additional driver (who must be listed on the rental agreement) does not havd to be 50 or older. That's great because I want my brother to be able to drive the minivan and he is still a few years away from 50.
