I booked with Dollar rental with a promotional code. I noticed on the confirmation it says: Southwest ClickNSave. Does it matter that I'm not flying Southwest?

Hmmm...I don't think it should, but what code did you use? I thought the Southwest codes could only be had if you booked the car rental via Southwest's website?

We flew to Phoenix (not on Southwest), but used a southwest code to rent a car from Thrifty and we didn't have any problem. I think it was just that a got the code from an email from Southwest.

I recently used the Southwest code and had no problems. I thought you had to be a rapid rewards member to use it, so I signed up on Southwest's website and brought the card with me, just in case, but no one asked for it.

No, it doesn't matter. You can use the code even if you are not flying Southwest. Mousesavers codes are pretty much open to the general public. I have used them lots of times...
