Dollar Rental?'s

Has anyone rented a car or van at the airport and then returned it elsewhere? I believe the choices are Lake buena vista(marriot) and International dr. I want to rent a minivan for only part of our trip I usually rent from National because I can just return it at the Dolphin and walk back to our resort, but the cheapest I can get for 5 days is $350 . I just checked Dollar and I could get a minivan for $199. Has anyone done this? Which drop off is closer to Boardwalk and how do we get back?Taxi?Do they offer some kind of shuttle to the resorts?
Sorry for all the questions but that is a huge price difference I could pay for 2 character breakfasts with that .

Alamo, which is now onsite at MCO and the Official rental car of WDW, has mini's on special for 199.00. Not sure what your dates are, but, give them a try. Also, National has them also. Both specials are called "book ahead". Hopefully, they will fit in your dates.

We will be there Oct 23. I tried the book ahead rate however I think that only goes to early Oct.

In that case, I believe dollar has an office at one of the DD hotels.
I think you may need to call dollar to find out what they have available for shuttles.
