I just thought I would write real quick and give my review on Dollar Rental Car.
We are members of National's club but their prices were in the $300's for our 5 night stay Dec 10-15.
We were able to get a mid-size car with Dollar for $178 total.
After reading negative reviews online: long lines, crappy cars, horrible service, I was a bit nervous when we got to MCO!!!
We got to the rental car area and found 2 workers and no one in line
. There were 2 guests at the counter and we entered the express line after applying for the program online.
We waited no more than 5 mins and it was our turn. Everything checked out fine and instead of a mid-size car we were given a van. My dad was upset at first as we do not have a van in our family and they are "harder" to drive but agreed to it and we left to go to the garage to get the keys.
A guest next to us was also given a van and was VERY upset with the choice and yelling at the worker who told him that when you book the car it is the car you are paying for or larger so you get what you get at 10pm I guess?
We walked right up to the worker in the garage and were given keys to our dodge van.
There were several dents on the front that we reported before leaving.
It was clean inside and smelled just fine.
All in all, it was a great deal and we were able to fit all of our luggage in it with tons of room for our family of 4!!
We would use Dollar again but still prefer National since you get to pick your car!
