Dollar Rent a Car Fastlane??

I just faxed my application for this program. My question is, should I make a reservation awhile or do I need to wait until my application goes through and I get something in the mail?

How long will that take? I only have a month.

I made my reservation; then applied. Once I received my fastlane number I just e-mailed dollar to add my membership number to my rental reservation. No problem doing so. E-mail was answered quickly and all was taken care of.

Did you get an upgrade coupon? Can you use the coupon after you make the reservation?

All I've received so far is the e-mail confirmation. I should receive the membership packet in a few more days. I'm not sure but I think the upgrade coupon is presented to the Dollar rep at the counter at the actual time of rental.
