Dollar Rent A Car at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista/DTD

Has anyone rented a car from the Dollar Rent A Car in the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista (Hotel Plaza Blvd/DTD) location? We now plan to stay onsite at Disney but want to rent a minivan for a day to go to Legoland. We were able to get a much better rate for a one day rental here than going through Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center. I was wondering if this Dollar location would pick DH up to get the rental or if he could simply just catch the resort bus to DTD and walk over to the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista?

Check the sticky near the top of the main Transportation board for the phone numbers of the various car rental desks on WDW property. IIRC, the Wyndham is a short walk from DTD so it shouldn't be a big issue if they don't have a shuttle.

We've rented from this Dollar location as well as the Alamo at the Buena Vista Palace. To my knowledge they don't offer a pickup service. We have always just taken the bus to DTD and then walked. Once you get off the bus all you have to do is cross the street and the hotel is right there on the corner....very easy.

Often we will plan to pick up the car around 10:30 or 11am and have breakfast at WPE first.

Thank you for all your feedback. It is good to know others have rented from this location and that it is an easy walk from DTD.

We have rented from this Dollar location and they had a shuttle pick us up. We haven't done it in two or three years so you might want to call first. It was very easy this way.

We have used this Dollar location before and will again in May for a one day rental . We have had great experiences there and gotten good rates. They picked us up from Old Key West and dropped us back off after we finished our rental. Highly recommend them !

not sure if this is applicable for you, but did you try to see if there is a LYNX bus that goes to your destination? We used the bus for a trip to sea world instead of paying the 75.00 that was for private transport, it literally was a few dollars each We caught the bus at the transport hub at MK. They have a website...
