Dollar Questions

I'm flying into Orlando this Friday and am not at all familiar with their rental setup. I'm renting with Dollar. My questions are two:

Is Dollar known for a lot of "senseless jackassery" as I would call it (meaning are they screwed up, do they waste time, are the cars ready and where they are supposed to be)?

Should I join the Express program to make the process faster or will it be ok in just the regular line?

We aren't checking bags so I hope that we can beat most of the people from the plane to the counter, but I know that there will be other people from other airplanes trying to get cars also.

we rented from Dollar last September and will again in December, and I'm not a big car-renter, but I found it fast and painless. And Dollar is right at the airport...we landed at noon and were checked into Pop and eatting lunch by 1. We rented from Hertz on our honeymoon and found them to be much more high-pressure.

I would join the express program. Then they will not try to upsell you. I have walked past people the have been waiting for 1/2 hour and walked out the door before them.

Our one and only experience with Dollar was horrible. Rude service at the counter was only the beginning. It was bad enough that DW and I just walked away and rented from another company on the spot at "rack" rate, but it was so worth it to us.

I would also recommend joining Dollar express. The last time I rented in January 2007 I walked up to the express line signed my paper work which was already to go and walk out to my car. There was absolutely no one in line ahead of us while the regular line was at least 15 people deep. The only upselling they did was offer us an upgrade for $10 more per day.

Funny thing, we went out to the car to tried to load everything in it and it would not fit. I ended up going back in and taking the upgrade. We orginally had a Dodge Caliber for $19.99 and ended up with a brand new Chrysler 300 (had 6 miles on it) for $29.99/day.
