Dollar minivan integrated seats? What are my chances?

We leave in four days!! I've spoken with two different agents from Dollar. The first agent, when I made my reservations, assured me that the vans have integratated child seats for my 2yo twins. The second agent, informed me that not ALL of the vans have the seats, and they can't guarantee them. Renting seats would cost us $80.00 The integrated seats would be perfect.

What did your Dollar mini-van have?? Do *most* of them have the integrated seats? We are travelling with five kids, so would like to avoid bringing our own seats if possible.

I have rented many times with Dollar. Every time I had a Dodge/Ply with a built in car seat.

The best advice I got was to call the Orlando Dollar the day of my arrival and confirm a MV with CS's. The was from the 1800 dollar operator who connected me to the orlando office for free! I am cheap so this was great customer service.

BTW, the orlando dollar told me that all minivans have car seats built in. The only way you do not get the car seats built in is if they run out of minivans. in which case I would be upgraded to a full size and be given carseats n/c.

i usually bring mine anyway for the flight and cabride home

We rented with Dollar this past July. I thought that all of their vans had integrated seats, but one of the employees told us otherwise. We had to wait for about 15 minutes and finally my husband went to a different counter to see what was going on? Since we had our fastlane card this other employee tried to get us going. There weren't any regular size minivans so they gave us the bigger size (I can't remember the make and model) van but it didn't have the integrated carseats. They gave us a carseat for free. They were really nice about the situation, but she did inform us that the newer models (the regular size minivans) don't have the built in car seats? That carseat rental can add up! The main reason we rent from Dollar is because they are the only rental company that I know that has the built in seats.

Thanks for the information!! You have been a great help. I think we are going to just go and take our chances instead of taking our HEAVY seats!

We were in Orlando Oct 13-20 and rented two vans from Dollar. We had taken our own car seats with us. Both vans were very nice Chrysler minivans and both had built in car seats.

We rented a minivan from Dollar at MCO last May. It did NOT have the built in car seat. We are going again in May 2002 and hope to get one WITH a car seat this time. We are not taking a seat on the plane with us for my 4 yr. old granddaughter. I called Dollar too and was also told that there is no guarantee on the built in car seat.

last sept we rented from dollar a minivan and it had the integrated car seats in it. it was a dodge grand caravan.
