Dollar Lost my Reservation!!!

I reserved a minivan back in august on the KISS promotion I called to add the fastlane to our reservation so we would not have a long wait and they have no record of my reservation!!! we are going day after thanksgiving and with the holiday now there are no minivan's available with any car rental company I am stuck with a full size car they don't even have suv's left with 3 kids a double stroller and all our luggage. I know it is not the end of the world but I am very upset. I had a confirmation number they claim is not a valid number. we will survive in the full size but the minivan has so much more room. The worst part it the woman at dollar was very rude. When she said the number is not valid I said I made this reservation 4 months ago she said " uh -uh" very snotty. There was nothing I could do they searched under our last name but no luck they really need the number. If they were nicer maybe a little apologetic I would not feel so bad but they could care less.

Sorry to ramble on I just needed to vent a little.

If you do any volume of traveling, you really need to join one of the members clubs. I am a member with both National Emerald Aisle and Hertz #1 Club Gold. I have never had to pay for the memberships because I always make sure to use each one a couple of times a year or more and they always waive the next year's fee. It really pays off in the long run. It is especially nice to bypass the counters at the airport and go straight to your car. It also gives you an automatic discount.

Just for anyone's information that does not know: Hertz is no longer on the airport grounds at MCO. You have to take the bus over the Beeline to the carlot. When I go to MCO, I always use National, which is right in the garage.

I would check on a minivan at national and cancel the dollar res.

Talk to a supervisor and fax them a copy of your confirmation.

Unfortunately, National is usually one of the most expensive when it comes to minivans...
